French newspaper L'equipe is reporting that Liverpool have agreed a fee for Nicolas Anelka. The story in this evenings edition states that Liverpool have agreed a £4.7 million fee rising to £6million if the Anfield club manages to reach the semi finals in next seasons champions league. Anelka did state a "envious" feeling after Robbie fowler returned during last seasons xmas window & had stated that his time in Liverpool had been his happiest as a professional footballer. His brother & agent is quoted "the fee is no problem & Nic will play for nothing if Liverpool want him".

If thats true hes a fu.ckin bargain, well better option than kuyt, he might be le sulk but he did seem happy at us before houllier jibed him off. I'll be made up with this signing if it goes through coz he is a top class striker. People will complain about his attitude but surely he will know that rafa takes no sh.it and he will be out the door if he starts being a kunt. Proven goalscorer. Thanks very much at that price. Maybe now he can pay a little extra for alves aswell if that fee is correct and if we are really after anelka. He'd be a great signing IMO.

But the think is since 2005 Rafa has only signed about 4 of them players

I dont care who Benitez signs no more i have confidence in him to spot tallent or bring in a player who will contribute to pushing the team towards 1st place in the premiership

his signings have bin phenominal . bar Morientes , Josemi and Pellegrino . the rest have been top quality :blues:
