he never really been in the conditions to play for liverpool :) Houillier wanted him, not Benitez. I seriously think that he's still a great player that could help the reds in the futur :)

well i may be totally wrong but it's my opinion bout him :p

I pretty much doubt that mate, this injury could cause him to lose some of his pace; his biggest asset and if he recovers to play again he will be sold, if anyone will buy him.

yeah may be but maybe not.  he krpt his pace from the last break.  larsson kept his pace after his nasty break.

he may be back and november/december and for all we know could be put into the team.  but yeah i think if rafa tries to offload him in jan its gonna be hard.

clubs will only want a six month loan deal.

anyway Marseille didnt want to "buy" him this year and they didnt even have the cash to pay his full salary. they wanted to have a buying option for the next year only.

fans in here had really apreciate the way Liverpool fans and squad had support Cissé today :) just to mention it ;)

He will be out for around 5months and i'd doubt that rafa would trust him enough to play games after the injury, hes just not good enough and is too much of a liability when hes in the team. I'd love it if he came back and started producing but sadly i dont think he has the talent to improve his technical sh.itness, maybe fate is keeping him at liverpool and he will become a top class striker....i doubt it :(

I think he will hopefully recover before christmas, and then be loaned out for the rest of the season . I honestly believe he has played his last game for us whatever happens. By the time he is fit and back to something like his best Liverpool will have moved on with new strikers. I wish Cisse a speedy recovery and all the best for his future, but it will not be with Liverpool.

Am I to assume that people have forgotten that we won the Champions League last season, which gave us about £25m in prize money?
We would have had £20m or so to spend even without the CL run, so that took our budget to about £45m, give or take.

This season adds at least £10m to that, so even after last seasons signings, we should have at least £30m knocking about somewhere.

I think he will play again for us, I hope. Also, he will still be our best striker, better than the Robot and the Pensioner.

I hope we sign Bellamy, not :censored: like Defoe or Bent, but Craig Bellamy, that would be an excellent signing for us!

Oh, and btw I am a liverpool an, not a Djibril Cisse fan.

yeah we all know that in theory but doesn't seem to be the case.  last summer we all thought rafa was gonna get huge amount of money after the CL win but it never happened.

If you think cisse is better than crouch and fowler then you are deluded. The only thing he is better at is running fast! fowler and crouch are superior when it comes to football ability and teamwork. They are both 10 times the player cisse is.

Thats a bit out of left-field is that one Mountie. It's not one of your better posts but we'll leave it at that, everyone has an off day.
On the Cisse question it's just desperately unfortunate for everybody. Obviously this includes the player but it's by no means being unsupportive to say the club have been dealt an awful run of cards with the Frenchman aswell.

yes i know mick, i have appologized for the post. When i first heard the news, i was like :censored: how could this happen again to him. I promise you i hope him well and a speedy recovery. I havent seen the video yet, but i probably will soon. I hope he fights his way back to health just like the last time.
