Andrew Johnson wrote:I think Craig Bellamy would be a good signing for LFC....He as the attributes of Cisse in pace, but he's a team player. He'll run with the ball, but has the ability to look up for team mates, from what I have seen of Cisse, he didn't have that ability.

Would Benitez go in for Owen, would you fans grace him with open arms after what happened?

Craig Bellamy is a top draw player & for £6million you could do a lot worse. He has a great techincal ability and as you say isn't selfish. People on here are put off with his antics in his private life (I don't know why it has nothing to do with ability and attitude on the pitch). However he sometimes brings a bad attitude to the training ground and the pitch. He is somewhat unprofessional and that's kinda off putting.

As for Owen, I don't want him back, he left and he had his chance to come back, him caring more about his England career jumped at the first club that went in for him, therefore rejecting us for a second time, I don't want Liverpool to bail him out, yet again. He's made his bed he can lay on it now.

And even if I wanted him back there is no way I'd pay £12million for someone who seems to spend much of his time these days either on the bench or on the treatment table.

As for a replacement I like Bent but is it a case of him doing what Beattie did at Southampton, one good season followed by not being able to hit a cow's :censored:(Or was that Phillips...I forget) and as for Bellamy, personally think he's a dick and I'd be surprised if Sparky would be willing to sell him as they look to make the step up next season.
Mind you this has all probally been covered already..... :D

the name reverand yah, just say it

I'll tell ya what you can have Traore, no returns. Thanks but there really isnt anyone from Everton that we need. No offence but we want to challenge for the title.  :D

For all the people who keep calling for Rafa to get Bellamy, have you forget that he is a crock? He has had so many problems with his knee and I believe he had a couple of operations on them. With his hefty upper body and running style he is likely to suffer injuries in the future as well. Purely from a medical point of view I would stay well clear.

From a footballing point of view, last season was the first team he has got into double figure in the Premiership in terms of league goals, and only the 3rd time he has done so since his career began in 1996, with the other 2 times being for Norwich in the old first division, were he played 36 and scored 13, and played 40 and scored 17, so his goal scoring record isn’t really much better than that of Heskey. Warranted that he does provide a real threat with his roar acceleration and determination, but his overall game is average to be honest.

And from a person point of view, he is an @rsehole outside of football by the sounds of it, and is a w@nker on the field, he has an attitude problem towards his team mates and opposition. Some people in life are just plain kunts, no matter what environment you give them or what help or guidance you to try to bring them under they wont change, for me, Bellamy is just one of life’s w@nkers, I know it’s a big statement to make since I’m not exactly close to him, but it’s a statement I am willing to make anyway.

So for me, it is a big fat NO!

You really do love Cisse don't you?

No.... I love ppl playing the "right" way. If you are defender , you job is to defend ... and if you are midfield , your job is help defenders and helping strikers .... same goes to striker , and the job is to score goals ..

You may have a point about his 'medical' side I dont know to much about his physcial side. Its hard and more or less impossible to make that kind of call, that his upper body and running style can be a cause for future concern. TBH any player can get injured some more prone than others. But if you were to compare it on just injury alone. Well Owen for 12m or Bellamy for 6m.

As a player I'd have him, again for 6m he's worth it. You've pulled up those stats of him hitting double figures. Thats not bad considering the teams he's played for. Norwich, Newcastle and Blackburn. At Newcastle he was used as a wide man more often than a striker. I think if you put him in any team in the top four of the league he would do well. He's a pacey no necked striker, with the ability to probe defences  make space and score goals. he's also a very tenacious player and has the winning mentality. All that considered and for 6m thats a big FAT YES for me  :D

Maybe Carra could give him a slap or three if he ever got shirty, but thats really my only concern with him, his disruption of the dressing room.
