Phil wanted me to post this message which is in his own words, he wanted it to be a new thread/post but I dont seem able to do this but hope you all get to read it.
Hello Everybody,
Phil here, I would like to say thank you to you all for all the messages I have received and all the efforts taking place in my name. I love Liverpool Football Club, its fans, the city, but most of all you lot and I am proud to call myself a fellow red.
As most of you are aware I have been battling this dreadful illness now into its 2nd year and its now spread to my brain, I am told the likely hood of survival is quite remote. One thing I can guarantee you all I will fight this with every ounce of energy I have, in the very same way that friends of mine fought the terrible injustices and awfull circumstances on a summers day in Yorkshire.
I am proud to call myself one of you guys and hold a dream to one day finish my life on Merseyside ( I love West Kirby). So I am not giving up and although I can not see properly at the moment because bright lights hurt my eyes, 90 mins of head pain on Saturday is worth a dam sight more than 90 mins of pain because we have lost to West Ham.
Kenny Dalglish, Jamie Carraghar, Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler and Ian Callaghan although my famous ever Liverpool players it would be with the heart and desire that I fight this in the name of Ray Kenndy.
So finally heres to a great day on Saturday and whoever is going please have a safe journey and a great day out.
Yours forever and a red forever,
Drummerphil
(p.s from Karen - sorry for any miss quotes or spellings - and I think the banner idea would be brillant - thanks for everything you are a really great batch of guys and gals)
