I’m so very proud to be part of this forum.
Your support to this lad in his and his family’s time of troubles is 2nd to none.
I do not know Phil and probably never will but I wish you and your family the strength you all need to get thought the troubled times you have faced and are facing. I have lost someone very dear to me to the big c and know how strong you will have to be.
I fully support cancer research and have done for a few years now.
I’m going to the paypal link after posting this to show my support.

My respects go out to all of you that have posted messages of sympathy and donated to Phil and his family.
As long as there is hart felt support like this to our fellow supporters none of us will ever walk alone.
Good luck phil.

just seen the sad news.
Phil, get well soon. never lose hope.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

:)

Unfournatley I have no money at the moment, and if I did I would contribute without a doubt.

I will send my prayers though, that's least I can do.

Can't believe that this is actually happening, Phil is a scouse-witted good bloke and it's a shame that this is happening.

Phil wanted me to post this message which is in his own words, he wanted it to be a new thread/post but I dont seem able to do this but hope you all get to read it.

Hello Everybody,

Phil here, I would like to say thank you to you all for all the messages I have received and all the efforts taking place in my name.  I love Liverpool Football Club, its fans, the city, but most of all you lot and I am proud to call myself a fellow red.

As most of you are aware I have been battling this dreadful illness now into its 2nd year and its now spread to my brain, I am told the likely hood of survival is quite remote.  One thing I can guarantee you all I will fight this with every ounce of energy I have, in the very same way that friends of mine fought the terrible injustices and awfull circumstances on a summers day in Yorkshire.

I am proud to call myself one of you guys and hold a dream to one day finish my life on Merseyside ( I love West Kirby).  So I am not giving up and although I can not see properly at the moment because bright lights hurt my eyes, 90 mins of head pain on Saturday is worth a dam sight more than 90 mins of pain because we have lost to West Ham.

Kenny Dalglish, Jamie Carraghar, Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler and Ian Callaghan although my famous ever Liverpool players it would be with the heart and desire that I fight this in the name of Ray Kenndy.

So finally heres to a great day on Saturday and whoever is going please have a safe journey and a great day out.

Yours forever and a red forever,

Drummerphil

(p.s from Karen - sorry for any miss quotes or spellings - and I think the banner idea would be brillant - thanks for everything you are a really great batch of guys and gals)

Can I still pay into the account without a credit card? Are normal debit cards accepted?

$20 on its way from down under...

It's just a loan though Phil! I'll have back in 2007 when we win the league if that's alright with you!

You can register debit cards with paypal, if yoy have no cards at all you can set up a feed from any bank account, it just takes a few days to be verified. Come on guy's if you can possibly afford it get your donations in. Its been said before but if anything positive can come out of all this its the pride I feel being both a red and a newkit member, we really look after our own.

Come on guys lets do it for Phil!!
