i think we should ship out Cisse and bring in Owen....i reacon he's probably had enough of the Toon life and (if the rumours of get out clauses are to be believed) should be availble for 10 million.

He played ok today. He should run more after balls that is possible to catch though. It annoys me when he throws his hands up in the air like a jester.

If the Toon don`t like the idea, pick the phone up again and offer them Cisse, Crouch, Moro plus 10m.

(with a 10m retainer if he isn`t fit for 30~ games, and Mellor can be talked back, as something for the future, with the "training alongside Owen & Fowler factor etc etc")

We need to offload a few of our strikers this summer. What's the use of having strikers that cant score? Frustrating.

I remember saying that exact same thing a while back...

I'm pretty certain that under Houllier, Cisse would have shined. Let's not forget that Houllier was chasing him a season before he signed, which, IMHO, should have been the season he came. Simply because he was on fire in France, and probably would have slotted in well with Owen. Given that, Heskey would have been sold earlier as well.

The Cissy lad showed heaps of talent in that season in France Div 1 before his first spell with us, and I'm afraid he should have come to Liverpool then, not when he did.

We would have seen a different Cisse then as we do now.

Can somebody tell me why Flo was offloaded to Blackburn, when he appears to be the only striker capable of hitting the target ? I saw him vs. Luton and he had only one thing in mind - get the ball, veer in the direction of the opponent's goal, and try to put it past the keeper....I know he's a young fella, but the lad scores goals....something Cisse, Crouch and Morientes seem incapable of doing. I too expected great things of Cisse when he arrived at LFC but the more I see him, the more I think he's a waste of space..

DJIBRIL CISSÉ - THE PERFECT (& FINAL) VERDICT!

I think he's good; a very, very good player, but it's annoying sometimes when he doesn't finish in situations that he should! I think he has great potential, and has done well in France for Auxerre and the national side. The season before he came to us, he was the top scorer in the French league!
But like that other person (only not to the same extent), I think he has great potential, but it's gone on for too long him not scoring enough goals and him not finishing as much as he should do. He could easily get 21+ goals a season, at his very best! He needs to start hitting them heights with us, seriously!

And he does love the club, and is actually the only player who wears that wristband (the thick one, like a sweatband, not these latest ones that are quite small and thin) that has the Liverpool FC badge on it. And don't anyone start taking the **** (about me stating that), because even small things like that can and do mean a lot like!

Probably his best performance to date was in the UEFA Super Cup (final, if you want to call it that), scoring two goals and assisting the third in our 3-1 win! We needed to win the game and I thought it'll be one of those games where we dominate so much, but don't score like we deserve to, partly due to our bad finishing! He only just came on not long before that though! He needs to start playing like that more, although he does play very well, like the rest of them, but needs to sort out his finishing, like the rest of them!

He loves the club and is a great player, but needs to start showing the latter more. And that is Cissé summed up. Ok! GREAT PLAYER! So end of.
