Last Friday night some ar.sehole damaged my car when I was tucked up in bed asleep.
It was parked by the kerb outside my house when some spastic reversed into it, damaging the front passenger door.
There is a big dent in it and some scratching to the paint work.
I brought it to a mechanic type guy tonight who said that the problem couldn't be fixed by a panel beater, but that the door itself was buckled and really, I needed to get a new door. I trust this guy, he knows what he is talking about.
My car is only 10 months old: I bought it brand new last March.
The person who reversed into my car drove off: I didn't see it happening but I have an idea who it was. My neighbour had friends over that night and they had parked their cars opposite mine: it had to have been one of them. Unfortunately, they deny they know anything about it. I know it was one of them but cannot prove anything.
Now I'm left facing the bill to get this thing fixed. I won't claim off my insurance as I will lose my no claims bonus, meaning that if I claim, the insurance company will actually make a PROFIT on my claim over the next couple of years.

Anyway, no point in crying over spilled milk, I have to try and sort the problem now.
Anybody with an interest in cars (Paul C etc) know how much a new or decent second hand car door would cost?
The second worst thing about this is that because I'll probably have to fork out between €800-€1000 in total, there will be no trips to Liverpool between now and the end of the season, which is a pity, as I was hoping to get over in February/March and also possibly for a European game.
