this isn't going to go down well........but it's Eric Cantona for me.  The guy was something who infulenced everyone around him.

Hmmmm. Effes is of course on the money here. Iamheretowindup is a poor imitation of some of the more amusing hijackers we have had here over the years. The very best ones, like the very best football teams strike the perfect balance between defence and attack. They also manage to be funny occasionally, coming out with such alltime classics as "I'm gonna bring my Pikey mates round" etc etc.
Unfortunately Iamheretowindup is still in denial. I put down a challenge to the fella today. The very best at what he's doing, blokes like Dom and the like, don't even bother denying their allegiance to another club. They are welcome because they are funny. The challenge is, cast off the cloak and talk football. While you're at it try and be funny.

Pavel Nedved

One of the names that could have competed to win a place in the Liverpool midfield. And I can count this names with the fingers of one hand. He's world class and he impressed me when Juventus played against Real Sociedad. Getting older now. Still class.

Of course the best player I've seen in San Sebastian is Diego Armando Maradona, he came here when playing for Sevilla, the game then was slower (not any more) and he did not warming up, he was playing with an orange, and he was keeping in the air with more than 40 touches, even stopped it at the top of his head. He was too fat then to be a menace but still was amazed of his ball touch.

I admired Gary Lineker, John Aldridge, Bernd Schuster, Riquelme, El Piojo Lopez, Romario, Stoitchkov and Zidane too, to be honest the players that have earned my clapping while standing up have been quite a few this years.

I remember Tony Currie Phil, what a player he was-Id say along with Gascoigne  he was the most naturally gifted english player ive ever seen. He had the ball glued to his feet ,and just beat players like they werent there. Reminded me of Bernd Schuster.

I was in the annie bout 82 maybe 83 and we beat spurs 3-1, won the league, played superb, the banter between us and the kop that day....well, you pups just would'nt understand, anyhow, I digress, there was this centre mid for tottenham who played a f.eckin blinder, probably scored goal of the century that day, his name? one Glen Hoddle! a fantastic footballer, absolutley sublime.
