Dalglish.....the greatest player in our glorious history.  I can't understand why a man who was the inspiration of many triumphs as a player and who guided us through our most traumatic period afer Hillsborough as a manager is not more involved in the running of the club.

Beckenbauer have Bayern Munich, United have Charlton and Real Madrid often find roles for their great players e.g. Butragueno and Valdano.  Dalglish would be an ideal "father figure" or "ambassador" at anfield.  His name alone would help attract players and his presence would inspire the youngsters.

With our current squad surely Stevie Heighway would be a godsend :p

Heighway would be a dodsend to any team.  Wingers are a rare commodity nowadays.  Toshack and Keegan wouldn't have scored as many goals if they played in the current Liverpool team.  Heighway used to put them on a plate for those two.  Maybe Harry Kewell should watch a couple of the old videos and get a lesson in wing play.
