Kuijt scored 29 goals last season with 15 assists, on saturday he scored his 100th goal for feyenoord.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

He is first choice at his club (not 6th)
He is strong (not weak)
He is very committed (not lazy)
He will be loyal (not disloyal)
He is quick
He is dangerous with both feet also from outside the box (not only from 5 yards)
He will work really hard for the team (not just hang around and wait)
He is good in the air (not a midget)

??? sad...

I'm ready to give him a chance to prove himself in the premiership. Players as Robben and Van Horseface also came from the dutch league and performed well.

+++++

clubs are lining up for his services ( not only wigan and souness)
the club don't want to lose him (as opposed to desperate to sell)

BUT let's get that centre half and that right wing first!!!!!!

well done, you obviously know a good player when you see one.

last week you were telling us that cisse was good in the air. :no

lazy like when he single handedly picked up the whole team and brought us back to life to win the fa cup over arsenal...

Could not put it better myself, only Benny knows though, but it does all fit, Baros/Cisse out, Kuyt/Owen in. Benny has stated he is not looking for "A" striker but he actualy could be after 2 strikers!!

Liverpool- Champions League Football
Tottenham- No Champions League, No UEFA Cup

From now on Tottenham will be linked with every Dutch player just like we are linked with every Spanish player.

So what ,that doesnt mean he wont sign for Spurs just coz there not in th CL. It didnt bother Davids did it ?
Unlike certain players the CL isnt the be all and end all .

I think Tottenhan could be a potential force this season and will push for a UeFa cup place ,with the swaying and Dutch influence of Jol i think he is more likely to feel comfortable with a move there.

Ive never really seen him play so i dont want to comment on whether he should sign for us.

I have to admit that I have been impressed with Martin Jol and his playing philosophy at Spurs. They are much more attack minded than Santini but were let down badly last season by inconsistency. Jol have managed to blend skillful youth and experience to forge a capable team, that is why a lot of media pundits are tipping them for a top 5 or 6 finish.

If I were a Dutch player who is wanted by a manager like Jol who a compatriot, I would really consider this career move.

If he is as good as Benithez says, I hope we get him because our present strikers are worryingly goal-shy.

What matters most in all this Owen saga is that its not Rafa banging down Moore and Parry's door to give him money to sign Michael Owen. Its the other way around.

These 2 clowns have a hide telling the best manager we've had since Kenny Dalglish who he should sign. They are responsible for letting Owen go in the first place, by not forcing Owen to sign a contract extension when they should have, leaving it way too late.

If Rafa wants Owen, so be it. But its wrong for him to be forced to sign Owen because the Chairman has a soft spot in his heart for him and has watched the FA cup final against Arsenal too many times.

Leave the football decisions to the man that single handedly delivered us the Champions league in his first season. This is the kind of board inteference that made him leave Valencia despite winning 2 titles in 3 years with them.

The most important thing is that Owen, despite all of his past exploits for Liverpool, is not the player he was. Better all-round game, perhaps but clearly lacking in electrifying pace he used to have and would clearly struggle as a lone striker.

Many of us have fond memories of Owen scoring for us, I admit.

Let the manager pick his own man as he sees fit. End of

well whatever... we just need to get a better striker before the transfer window closes.. we have no guarantee that any of our current strikers will give us lots of goals....

owen is a player that guarantees 20+ goals per season... according to statistics, kuyt also has a really good goal ratio, top goal scorer of Dutch league.. but in the end, we should really let Rafa choose... he'll know what's best to fit into his tactic... we shouldn't push him to sign a player he doesn't want to use... let Rafa choose full stop.
