Its a tricky situation becasue really all three of our recent striking aqquisitions havent had a full playig season and therfore, a move out would seem all the more strange. I think the only way Rafa would sell Cisse is if we got our full £14Million back possibly more. I mean hes broken into the France team now properly so perhaps he may even be rated £15 or £16M. What do you lot think ?

I think the most sensible solution is one of the two and Rafa knows it:

!)Take him on a loan with a deal to pay the full price next year
2) David Moores fund the deal personally until the money from this seasons CL comes in.

oh come on mate dont you think your over reacting a little.
yeah we would all be sad to see cisse go because he`s a tryer and has ability but your carrying on like rafa wants to sell gerrard or something. to be brutally honest he hasnt lived up to his price tag and we`ve all seen enough little cameo`s to think he will come good, but thats all, he certainly isnt the second coming of ian rush or roger hunt (at the moment anyway).this could all be paper talk or maybe all the interest is coming from the french side because they`ve got a few bob at the moment burning a hole in their pocket, it doesnt mean we are going to sell him.

See, I knew I should have started my thread on people always saying 'In Rafa I/We Trust'.
See the same people I have seen say that during or at the end of their post are slowly beginning to change their views now.

I like Cisse, but Owen instead of Cisse or Baros is a massive upgrade. Milan deserves some credit for leading the line, often on his own last year, and chasing down seemingly lost causes on long balls out of defence. However, he has the peripheral vision of a mole wearing blinkers and doesn't seem interested in ever finding team mates. Michael may not score the most spectacular goals, in fact many barely even dribble across the line, but he's delivered everywhere he plays. I'm sure he'd love to be on the receiving end of through passes by Alonso, and would once again benefit when Stevie G surges through midfield with the ball and plays him in. And Cisse might actually watch and learn how to turn all that raw talent into actual playing ability, i.e. not always shooting from ridiculous distance and/or angles, and occasionally passing the ball to open team mates.

Michael Owen is a class player, on and off the pitch, and it would be great to have him back.

he could well do this, i do not like the idea of a club full of spanish players, i might take a beating over this but i dont think the spanish have had the run of good player and this will also start to show in the world cup.

the players he has gone in for in my mind have4 been second rate players and this could make us a second rate team. i am not saying it will i am just sdaying it couldf.

RA is a great European manager and he still has a lot to prove in the prem, and 1 up front on away games is not the way to do it.

To- nights echo is saying that Lyon have made a £8.5 million bid for Baros!..no mention of Cisse? maybe there is no truth in the "cisse wanted by Lyon rumour" after all? The echo states that LFC have accepted the bid, but the stumbling block is that Baros prefers villa! which could compliment things.

ok ive now come to believe that the cisse being sold story is a load of rubbish, i dont know how that could possibly happen. its probably just sh!tty gossip. im all for owen coming back and im very excited of him scoring the goals for us again just as long as we wont be losing out on cisse to get him here

the bbc are still reporting it, it is also on ceefax page314
sky are also still saying its going ahead???

we should have had news on Owen on tuesday but none, i new we was going to get some news later this week but i had no idea it was this.
