The nerve of Real to ask for more than what they got him for in the first place. I hate that club so much.

Well I wouldnt buy a paper, only buy the echo, and dont class that as a tabloid, if these lazy @rsed journos had any common sense they wouldnt write such tripe, as to say cisse will be leaving to finance the Owen deal  b@stards
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Compromise? Didn't know that was in Real Madrid's vocabulary :glare:. Just loathe doing business with them, hope they don't end up stringing us along only to screw us over. Again.

Whats the deal with the rumour that benitez is unhappy with Cisse's form, opting to play him on the right wing all about? Don't these p.ricks know that we don't have a decent right winger, which is why he opted to play Cisse out there? Sometimes i wonder, do these folks have any b.*ll*c*ks?

England and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is set for a return to Liverpool, according to reports.

Owen, 25, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Newcastle while Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has insisted he is not after a striker.

But forwards Milan Baros and Djibril Cisse may leave Anfield and pave the way for an Owen comeback.

Baros could move to Aston Villa and Cisse is understood to be the subject of interest from French club Lyon.

Lyon will be flush with cash with the £26m transfer from Michael Essien's expected switch to Chelsea and their manager Gerard Houllier signed Cisse for Liverpool when in charge of the Merseysiders.

Houllier was rumoured to be eyeing Owen but the player appears to favour a move back to the Premiership.

Owen's future at Real is in doubt after the Spanish giants signed Robinho and Julio Baptista to complement an attacking force already boasting Raul and Ronaldo.

And, with Owen seemingly fifth choice, he has been linked with a leaving the Bernabeu for more regular first-team football in World Cup year.

Liverpool received £8m and Antonio Nunez for Owen when they sold him last summer and Real are believed to want £10m for the hitman.

But, with Benitez after a right midfielder and centre-back, a loan deal has been muted, despite Real not being too keen on the idea.

It may, however, be their main option if Manchester United do not make a firm bid for Owen.

its all wrong i tell thee, if Djibril Cissé  is sold i think its is more to do with the spanish revolution at our club , RB can not see that morientes is finding it hard in the prem.
someone at the top should step in and stop all this or we will be 5th again.
Cissé  is the best striker at the club right now. if he is sold for owen then RB is killing the club , if owen is coming back then we should sell morientes, baros and for more money we could sell Josemi and Luis Garcia.

i agree completely lakes, ive started to doubt rafa for the first time after hearing these cisse rumours and if hes sold rafa will become a villain and will be on his way to becoming the next foolier, terrible working the transfer market, destroying our club

i pray that i can take all this back and cisse stays and rafa makes some decent buys before the end of the transfer window, owen, andrade. im not completely happy with the signings rafa has made so far except for alonso really

If we have to sell Baros and Cisse to finance Owen that is in my opinion a big step back and a huge gamble. Owen is injury prone and will go missing if we don't play only to his strenghts (one dimensional football). With Owen out injured (as he usually is) we have Morientes (not exactly on fire is he) and the beanpole. Maybe we have to rely on Mellor or Pongolle this year too?

Selling Cisse and Baros is suicide.
If football is banned in heaven. I'd rather go to hell.
