Our biggest problem last year was lack of squad depth, which has now been sorted out imo. Rafa has shipped out most of the deadweight now (only Diao remains), has blooded some youngsters such as potter, whitbread and warnock, and has made some shrewd signings - Zenden, Crouch, Sissoko and Reina to replace Smicer, Nunez, Biscan and Kirkland - I'll take that. Add to that Hobbs and Barragan who are very promising and Gonzalez who we'll probably get in January anyway.
As others have said, there will be a couple more, and I'm sure there's a fair bit of cash to spend on them. We can probably afford to go to 10 mil for a quality CB and a couple of mil more for a right mid.
As for the physio, FFS a physio is a physio, he's easily replaced

Is this team going to pass and move and have half the technique of the Arsenal or Chelsea team? No. Instead we get a man who is a brilliant tactician, whose side did play attractive technical TEAM "play to feet" football, like WE used to play in the 70s and 80s, and he now wants to play long ball tactics to a big man to knock down to a little man upfront, and build around two stars, in order to "adapt to the PL". Wenger and Mourinho imported their tactics successfully, why not Rafa?!
For SG+the money we made in the CL+our existing player sales and releases and without Crouch, Owen, we could have gotten ALL the following plus our other buys: Adriano+Aimar+Gallas+Figo+Milito+Ballack..work it out!

But honestly, I don't want to see negativelike that. He's making Mount Everest out of a pothole!
Mmm..fair comment...by the way that should read "mountain out of a molehill"...a pothole is a hole in the ground, a molehill is a small mound on top of the ground.

of course i can't be sure but i think he was making the point that he was making a mountain out of a hole in the ground. which is worse than making a mountian out of a small hill/mound etc.
And you reckon your an LFC fan!?! - B*llocks.
Houllier bought Heskey to nod the ball down for Owen to score. He employed the LONG-BALL.
Benitez has bought Crouch to get on the end of the crosses which Zenden, Garcia, (he hoped) Gonzalez and possibly even Kewell will whip into the box. It's another "possibility". You must be as thick as pig sh*t to think Rafa is a long ball merchant. For fack's sake, he LOVES wingers. Houllier wouldn't know a winger if one got up and gave him a blow job.
But if you think that you know more than Rafa, then so be it.
(But then again, even a ningkompoop would realise the importance of a solid 'keeper!) I still can't believe you questioned the purchase of Reina. GK was THE worst position for us last season, and if you can't see that then you need to go to specsavers, sunshine.)
