RedWolf35 wrote:maybe thats because we do not want some idiot on this site who is as arrogant as his manager, who cares if you win four trophies this year you will never ..... I REPEAT NEVER equal the win in Istanbul in 2005 which was acheived through a depleted team and the greatest comeback that will ever be witnessed in world football, you lot are simply not playing by the rules (Ashley Cole/Rio Ferdinand/Steve Gerrard) your arrogance is astonishing you think you can tap up any player you want and that rules do not apply to your scummy souless club I for one do not welcome you on here gloating about how much money you have and how you are going to win everything
I hope Abramovitch gets bored in a few years and your club folds thats how much people like you wind me up come back when you have won something without buying every decent player on the market loser![]()

I would actually.
Most fans were up in arms when Thaksin Shinawatra was linked with investing in the club, a man with an allegedly terrible human rights record.
Liverpool is a club that tends to keep it's traditions, unlike clubs like Manure who got rid of the name football club, and were known as Manchester PLC. Becoming a Public Liability comany allowed the Glazer dela to come to fruition, they have no one to blame but themselves.
Let's take Chelsea. Abramovich's Billions may have allowed your club to hit the top of English football (not europe I might add), however you have lost a hell of a lot of respect in the process. A talented, but arrogant manager, illegal meetings with transfer targets (or 'tapping up'), supposed kidnappings of players, the whole Anders Frisk situation, the list goes on and on.
How long will it be before Chelsea faces their own Glazer-esque problem when Abramovich decides to leave? Or perhaps is arrested or something similar. The man is a criminal, and his business partner in Russia is now in jail.
If you want a man like in that in charge of your club, then fine, you may win a lot of trophies but you will not ever have the same amount of respect that the great Liverpool sides of the 60's, 70's and 80's under great leaders such as Shankly, Paisley and Fagan.
'You reap what you sow', and hopefully this decision by Chlesea to bring in Abramovich for short-term success will falter, and Chelsea will go back to being the mediocre side they have been for much of the last 50 years.
