If chelsea sack ranieri (which i doubt has been decided just yet as abromovich doesn't seem the sort to sit on his ****** after making a decision) then Jose Mourinho will go to Chelsea.  If they don't he will come here its as simple as that.

To be honestly I cannot see Jose to take over at Chelsea for next season because Jose want to bring some of his players like Deco, Costinha etc, so Roman is not keen about it and he want bring World Class Players like Roberto Carlos will be Chelsea in next 24 hours for fcuking 20m quids. So, Jose is not keen about that. Roman hasn't got a clue about football, I don't think Jose will be Chelsea boss next season.

IMO I don't think he'll go to Chelski. He won't be in control at all. He'll be told who to buy and who to sell. If he want's to buy a player he'll have to make sure they fit into Romans fantasy football grading system.

Mourinho said he'd prefer to join us cos he feel abramovich will be putting his noise in too much and he didn't like the way ranieri was treated, he actually said that Liverpool is his ideal project  :)

any liverpool fan who thought that the champions league final between milan and juventus last season was dull, you won't like jose mourihno one bit. his teams play very much on the counter attack like us. porto don't score many goals at all. the guy is very tactically astute, so you are not going to see all out attacking football under him. people tend to forget that the guy is still relatively inexperienced and has a history of falling out with his players.

true, but if Mourinho brings us the coveted premiership then i couldn't really care how we play. Also if he has had success in Europe with Porto, who have a squad not much better, if any than ours, why not with us.

The man demands respect, and if the players don't have it then there will be a fall out no question, and if a player can't support their boss then are they supporting the club and fans?

They scored the highest and conceded the lowest in their domestic league. The aggregate looks good as well.

I'd be happy with 1.85 goals a game.
We only scored 55
Arsenal scored 73.

Notice Parry says "British" not "English" hmmm  ???
Could be down to O'Neil or Mourinho.
Either way I'm happy  :D

I think Mourinho would be mad to go to Chelsea because:

1. Abramovich interfering.

2. Abramovich's Russian sidekicks interfering: apparently this is an even bigger problem than Abramovich himself. Ever see those short and stocky guys in the Chelsea directors box? Worse than the Russian mafia apparently.

3. No real control over transfer policy.

4. Unrealistic expectations: if he doesn't win the Pemiership in his first year he's probably be sacked.

I think Ottmar Heitzfeld is a better candidate for the Chelsea job as he his far more experienced than Mourinho and is used to interference from above at Bayern.

IMO opinion the Liverpool job is perfect for Mourinho.

Apparently Martin O' Neill is not a contender becuase he had a bit of a row with Rick Parry over the telephone a few months ago in relation to the O' Neill/Houllier spat.
