Also people doubted Gary Mc's age but he gave us a lot of experience, we have a young side and Figo could add a lot to it imo.
If Figo can have the same impact over two seasons it could be worth it. Yes, his wages are astronomical but he could make a difference in the big games (against the other top five teams and Champions League games). Why not take a risk on him. It would boost morale to have a player of his stature in the dressing room, it might humble Gerrard a bit and other younger players might learn alot from having a galactico about. I think there are benefits on and off the pitch
