Right, as we're on the theme of superstitions, this is mine which I've done since we played Olympiacos at Anfield. Basically, the day before the match, I wore the home jersey, then the yellow away jersey on match day. This continued for all home CL matches, with the reverse combination for away matches. However, the day before the final it struck me that, although we would be wearing red and were classed as the home team, we would actually be playing away from home. I started to panic. Never the less, I composed myself, worked tirelessly for almost 10 seconds, and hit upon what I now know to be the winning formula!(But bear in mind that these calculations only stand during the actual competition or season, thus it ended 5-ish hours ago:( ) What I deduced was this;
For all previous legs, I had done as stated above. This, though, was different. God was toying with me, testing me and baiting me to decifer the code to the safe of fate. I had to succeed, I thought. I MUST succeed. What I figured was this;
Home match = red day before, yellow for match.
Away = opposite.
So in order that the lads may win an away match as the "home" team, I must wear the red shirt for both days.
That and I couldn't find my yellow one!!!!!

I dragged my brother along with me in the car, streamers and balloons attached to the aerial and scarves and flags hanging out the window, just barping at all the clueless Australians at 8am, who had no idea what was going on.
