Dudek - 7. Done what he had to do, clean sheet and and dealt with everything well. No real scares from Jerzy, he did however release the ball to quickly at the end of the game, which is normally something he doesn't do when you want him to.

Finnan - 8. Superb. Absolouetely superb. Passing, touch, intelligence, tackling, link up play. Brilliant performance. Compsed aswell.

Traore - 5. Dives in to much, goes missing, gets turned easily, doesn't cover other players, always loses his man on set peices simply not good enough. Very nearly cost us the game last night because he was beaten in the air by a 5'9 centre half. Bearing in mind he's 6'3 that shouldn't ever happen.

Hyypia - 9. Tower of strength. Didn't put a foot wrong and looked like the best centre half on the pitch, Cannavaro was playing so thats a hell of a compliment.  Great in the air, great in the tackle, great composure, quick thinking, aggressive, strong and read the game brilliantly. One of his best ever games in a Liverpool shirt. Great performance.

Carragher - 8. Consistently class. Broke loads of attacks up and is a pain in the ****** to get past. I've only ever seen Pires and Henry skin the boy. Wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Nunez - 6. Shown some nice touches and offered good balance but didn't do enough. Was lazy and wasn't really involved. Must improve next season.

Riise - 6. Worked hard but lacked quality yesterday. Was asked to do a job and done it i supose. Mind you having to share the left back job with Hyypia i supose i should give him a 7.

Biscan - 8. Solid, passed well, shown some great touches, good awareness of whats around him and was good on the ball. Worked hard and won tackles, he's been excellent this season when Gerrard hasn't played. He's a different player when he's got responsibility on his shoulders. It would be interesting to see the percentage of wins when its been EITHER Gerrard or Biscan playing.

Alonso - 9. Unreal. What a player. We've missed him this season badly. Sheer class and nothing less. Passing was unreal and the ball for Baros was something else. Can't wait to see him next season, he's twice the player the Gerrard thinks he is.

Luis Garcia - 6. Ran his balls off, coved every blade of grass and tried hard. Lacked quality and strength but done his bit without question.

Baros - 6. Caused one or two problems but should have done more. Worked hard though. However had Juventus scored i wouldn't have forgiven him for an awful miss.

Subs:

Smicer - 5. Went missing and done nothing. No improvement on Nunez.

Cisse - 5. Wasn't on the pitch or in the game to make an impact, great to see him back again. He is lazy though and needs to up his work rate ALOT!!!

Cant disagree with most of that, but i will say that in games like last night wingers and strikers are hard to judge cos they arnt playin there usual game although risse did do excellently helping back but he still sh!ts out alot and baros needs to improve a great deal in games were we need to hold on to the ball......and traore is simply a liability and u cannot have a defender in your back line who you cant trust and i dont trust him at all, ok he does get back and make some good tackles now and again but he is just to dodgy for are defense. Oh and finnans improvement this season has been fantastic i never thought he would ever be that good but it does look like we had to pay 2 million for him to furfill his potential cos signing Josemi give him the kick up the ****** he needed
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

Too harsh on many occasions? Harsh on Traore Cisse and Smicer i reckon. In fact, i thought it was one of Traore's best performances.

True, but even before he broke his leg, he would just walk around and look disinterested when we don't have the ball. But hopefully he will improve once he gets regular football.

I'm not whinging. I'm simply stating a fact. Before he got injured he was the same and last night he shown the same signs again.

Baros to his credit, when the opposition have the ball is a pest and doesn't give up. Owen covered alot of ground as did Heskey and Rush and Fowler before him. Morientes also works hard as does Luis Garcia.

They chase the ball down and it makes defenders think that fraction more quickly so they don't have all the time in the world to pick there pass. Every little bit helps.

Give over Stu, I just pleased the fella can walk never mind anything else .

Take your point about his work rate BUT this was not the game to judge that on. Let the poor sod at least get match fit first.

I agree with Stu to be honest

But we cant have a Rush every time.  Cisse did impress me mind you with the way he obviously scares people with his pace, but he does have to adjust to the game and last night was just a welcome back and a warning to Juve defenders not to push up too much

I'd echo most of what Stu said but I'd give Traore a 6/10 but Nunez 4/10.

Nunez was a liability in the first half and he couldn't get into the pace of the game. He was wild in his challenges and Zambrotta got past him easily on occasion.

Yeah ,for me Nunez was our most disappointing player. I expected more from him but it never came ,I'm beginning to wonder (again) if it ever will .

I'm pretty much in agreement with Stu's assessment but would've given Garcia more credit, he did indeed cover every blade of grass but also managed to curb his possession-losing habit and also make a real pest of himself all night. I'd give him 7, possibly even 8

motm Hyypia without doubt, Alonso was awesome as well, and Igor grows in stature and confidence with every game

And as for Rafa, well what can I say - he's just a tactical genius when it comes to Europe

Bit harsh Stu - I thought the lad came on and did ok. Was a big improvement on Nunez in terms of keeping hold of the ball at a time when we were surrendering possession every time we got the ball.

By putting Smicer, Raffa effectively played three central midfielders which flooded the middle. That is what got us the draw and made Juventus look ordinary. If you noticed, none of the wide players had good games. In that case smicer did his job, and it was not (tactically) a game in which Nunez could play to his strength.

I do not think anyone deserved less than 7 on a night when they held Juventus to no goals in the quarter-final of the CL.

Are you fans (fanatics) or supporters?

Too harsh on Traore, I'm not his biggest fan by any means but he defended well for us the other night and made some vital clearances, especially in the second half.
