Spine tingling - Your most lfc spine tingling moment

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

i was just thinking about the liverpool v olympiakos game and everytime i think of gerrard scoring my spine always always tingles, that for me was the ultimate spine tingling moment, the crowd the celebration the commentators, everything about it just enabled that to be such an unfogettable moment, however that would be 2nd of my list as 1st on my list would certainly be being in the kop singing YNWA against newcastle earlier this season, never did i imagine it would be so spine tingling and overwhleming, and finally michael owen scoring the 2nd goal in the fa cup final against arsenal

whats your top 3?

I would have to mention when Gerry Marsden sang you'll never walk alone at the 89 cup final against Everton. Nothing would really come close as he ended the song in tears and you could see a sea of red hands raised clapping behind him. Still brings tears to my eyes.

77 european cup final, i nearly burst with excitement. but i think probably my first visit to anfield in 1973 with my uncle, we stood on the kop, or rather i sat on a bar. every time we scored i lost my uncle.

but to be honest in 32 years of watching the reds i have had many spine tingling moments, and when i look back at them i get the same feeling

Hi Peewee  :D

This happens to be one of my most spine tingling moments too , Are you sure we weren't seperated at birth !!   :D

Also Whenever I see David Fairclough's 3rd goal and the way the Kop moves as one as he peels away in delight...........

And also what was the name of the Radio 2 commentator who always covered LFC's games in the 70's/80's , he had an electric voice and always out emotion into his commentaries

Tingling ? Don't know about that....i'm going to have to get the tissues !!!!!  :D

ah mate, sitting in the house as a kid listening to radio city commentary for the european away games, im filling up.

some of the youngsters on here have never had the kinds of emotions we have been through with the reds.

when fairclough scored that goal in77 i was at my nans house off maiden lane in Tuebrook, i ran out in the back yard and could hear the crowd mate, happy days.

From more recent times the 4-3 in 96 against Newcastle when Collymore latched onto Barnes's slide rule pass was supreme and an enormous rush as we went mental on the KOP.

The UEAF Cup Final in 2001 was ermmmm a bit specail as Ex Pro's like to say although personally i nearly vomitted during Extra time but whata moment when Macca's free kick floated in :p

Even this season Mellors last gasp goal against the Arsenal was a modern day sopine tingler .....

Feck it , i admit it I tingle all the time when watching LFC :D

Now THATS my most abiding childhood memory. People forget how little football was on the TV in the Late 70's and early 80's.

What was his name though ? Peter something ?   :glare:

I think he passed away recently ....
