With Gerard Houllier's 6 year stint as our manager coming to an end this week, what was your favourite/most memorable moment while he was in charge?

Mine would be the 2001 FA cup final, with the great fightback from 1-0 down with Owen scoring two goals in the space of 5 or so minutes giving us our first FA cup triumph since 1992.

my best Gh moment was when he walked out the tunnel against Roma, it was one of my last games before I moved to Malaysia, the reception he got was outstanding, from the fans and Cappello

on a side note, on this day 23 years ago we beat Real Madrid in the European Cup final 1-0, with Alan Kennedy scoring the winner with 10 mins to go, making it our 3rd European cup triumph.

How times have changed  :( .

UEFA Final: the fantastic Fowler's goal and the impressive performance of McAllister.

It was FA Cup Final against Arsenal then 4 days later against Alaves in Dortmund, it was GH's best moments I ever had. It was bloody busy week for me on that special week.

But times have changed now, looking forward to see next step now.

blaming the weather for our fa cup defeat at portsmouth. that was when it finally confirmed that the guy had lost the plot! :D

no seriously, the roma match when he came back from heart surgery sticks out. the atmosphere that night was frightening. the reaction from capello towards houllier at the start of the game just proved that there are more important things in life than football.

My all time favourite Gerard Houllier moment was actually not during a win or triumph, however it did come soon after thrashing the blue ******.

Remember Fowlers celebration after scoring in front of the travelling Bitter Blue Army down the Anny Road end. The Bitter ones had been calling Robbie a smack head all game following his antics in the moathouse hotel toilets the weekend before. After scoring he proceeded to sniff the white goal line.

I got home following a night out in town and heard Houllier claiming that the celebration was in reference to Rigobert Songs goal celebration where he "eats the grass".

Me and the lads still use that old "Eet waz er Rigobert Song, hee eatz de grass" line when we are caught in uncomprimising positions ourselves.

TOTAL CLASSIC

Maybe Houllier could explain some of Stu's more controversial posts to old Rigobert as well
