Yo-yo - Rafa

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

read before giving me stick ....then go ahead

we are just a bit of a yo-yoteam right now , i hate to say it but if Rafa is still with us next year i think we will give the other top teams a good fight.
as you know i dont think rafa was the right man for the job but i am giving him time to show me i am wrong and i will eat my words quite happley if so.
i dont think its all his fault that we are the way we are right now. next year is the team stays fit and we get a few names and he is still here then i am sure we will close the cap at the top and might even be in the top 2.

Real look like trying to take him from us, and going by his history with them it will be hard for him to say no, i am not sure he is cut out for the prem just now but a year on i think he will start to get it right.

the next 2 games are so big for us, its going to be clos for the 4th sopt but i think we will do it going by who the blues have got.
as for the euro game coming up .....its going to bre hard but if there is a manager that can pull it off IT IS Rafa

Hmmm! I do agree with you, but I don't think Rafa will go next year! I think that the will stay just to show that he can have the best team in the Prem! Its not his fault that the team had a bad match! Hes on the side lines!!! And why, when things go wrong, everyone blames the manager??? Why don't you blame the players! I did'nt get to see the match today (I was at work!!) so I dont how the team played, but I am sure they gave their best!!!

Give Rafa a chance!! Most of the big signings are out injured!

Just look at Man U!!! They get beat by Norwich 2 - 0!! Are they shouting for Alex's head!!!!

Lakes, you've got to be the most pessimistic member of this forum. Either you or Iceman. You just baffle me.

All is abviously not well at LFC, but the situation is a product of Houllier's 6 years and indeed even further back than that. I find the notion that Rafa will desert us in the summer utterly ridiculous. Whatever you think about Benitez you have to admit he's a very intelligent man who will have thought very carefully before coming to LFC. He knows there was never gonna be a quick fix for the club, the club needed a total transformation which was always going to take time, he has come here with the sole puprose of making us successful once again

So why would he go to Real, knowing that anything other than instant success would mean the sack, all the while having his hands tied by Raul & the president of the club?

I have no doubt Real will try to poach him at some point but I can't see him going anywhere until he has given us a few seasons and some success

I don't think rafa will last long @ real madrid if he goes there.... Can u imagine what will happen if he benches raul or zidane ? Mourinho will be a better choice for real madrid.

Christ on a bike people..... Rafa h as been quoted as saying he's going to be here for the long haul. Why would he quit after one season where he didn't even get a proper pre season done ???

Give the Manure fans time. I know quite a few and the rumblings have begun. He has spent an absolute fortune, more than Chelsea and is a mile away from challenging. One more season tops if they don't win the Prem or CL next year in my view.

Sir Andrex should have gone when he intended to a couple of seasons back but from where I'm sitting the longer he stays the better cos his ability to keep Man ure competetive is diminishing year on year :D

Back to the Topic. To suggest Rafa will leave after one season is unbelievable and I suspect more to do with Lakes's desire to see him leave than any REAL (Pun intended)  possibility that he will go ???

Lakes appears to be edging his bets these days after Rafa no doubt surprised him by getting to the Carling Cup Final and making the last 8 of the Champions League.

Rafa will never join Real Madrid whilst they have the current president.

All the problems he had a Valencia about picking teams and buying players, and answering to some guy in a suit that wanted final say on all that.

And you think he's going to Madrid where even the players have more say than the coach?

Get real
