Tsunami game sunday. - Current squad should watch legends go!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby LFC #1 » Mon Mar 28, 2005 8:23 am

This is one of the many reasons why LFC is the greatest club in England, if not the world.

I don't care what anyone says always has been and always will be the greatest.

You can stream the match with an e-season ticket.

Just watched it.

Amazing to see so many Liverpool greats on one pitch.

At one stage Rush, Aldridge and Fowler were all playing up front with Kenny Dalglish, Jan Molby and John Barnes in midfield.

Some of our legends showed they've still got fantastic touch, and the possession play was a joy to watch at times.

Great to see so many absolute legends playing together at Anfield.

Ralph Little did well at the back for the other team dont you think?

just finsihed watching it myself mate.

agree with ya 100%.

Molby was brilliant, his passing was sublime.

King Kenny showed he still has what it takes, as did most of the others like Aldo, Rushie, Barnes Paul Walsh etc.

Robbie did everything but score.

Agree about Ralph Little, he was very accomplished, I also thought Harvey from So solid crew and Dj spoony looked good as did Michael Vaughan.

I think we should gt Kenny and Rush in against Bolton as they would still do a better job than Smicer. I'm serious.

Ian St John was saying during the game that you don't lose your skill just your ability to run around and fitness, and that showed. St John said Molby was like a moving wardrobe.  :D

anyway was really good to watch, and for a great cause.  :)

i saw the game and i have never cheered so much. thought id never hear a commentator say:
its barnes to rush, rush to fowler, fowler to dalglish, dalglish to aldridge...'

was a perfect game, great to see johnson score a header and good old razor ruddock getting stuck in to the chelski fairy lovejoy.

Yet another reason why liverpool is always going to be the bigest club in English football. Never been rprouder to be a red.

One thing I noticed about the players was when leaving the tunnel, nearly every one of the touched the "This is Anfield" sign on the way out. You don't see many of the modern day players doing that and it was brilliant to see
“It was my first of the season, my last of the season, my best of the season and the one I will remember for ever.”

- Vladi Smicer after scoring in the CL Final

"I'm not a believer in fate..... until tonight, they're going to win it!"

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Saw the game on Sky. Was a joy to watch. They might have slowed down a bit but still have all the skill. True legends

I dont think so, but it wasnt really about them and I imagine some are on international duty.

It must have been great for that guy who won a radio competition and played in the legends team.  He didnt do that badly either
