Kewell out - Is it just me ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I am looking at the webpage on the official site, and I have just finally lost patience with Harry Kewell.

liverpoolfc.tv

I am sick of this guy being on as much money per week and giving us zip all in return.

I have been Harry's biggest fan in the past, and I have begged many Liverpool fans to show him patience and give the lad a break, but I have now had it up to here!!

Would you ask to be substituted during a cup final for your "boyhood heroes" ??

I am really at the end of my tether with Harry.

Kewell has to have this op in the summer and then I'd give him one more season to prove himself, if he doesn't do it next season then f**k him off imo.

I know what you mean lads !

I was one of his biggest fans before he came to the Reds.
He looked an exceptional talent for Leeds, the type of player that can be a match winner all on his own, be idolised by the fans and become a cult hero.

But I'm finally losing patience as well.
I've had a go at plenty of people on here for knocking him.
But I really am reaching maximum frustration with him.

Just when we needed one or two big players back in the side
and he seems to still have one or two constant injuries.

Leon - have to agree with you a hundred %
during the Final - I convinced my head that he was signalling to come off for the good of the team
But my heart was telling me - had it been me out there for the boys - the Gaffa & the physio would have had to physically remove me from a cup final.

Instead of " What's Eating Gilbert Grape" ???
               " What's F*ckin Eating Harry Kewell" ???

Answers on a postcard to Mellwood :(

I just feel that Kewell has had 2 seasons nearly and if he needs an op surely he should have had it by now

As I understand it, Kewell needs two operations and then two months of complete rest outside of his rehab period in order to have a CHANCE of getting fully injury free.

I think he should have the operation by the end of this month, then come back for Pre Season after a good three months rest, after that it should be do or die.

Looking back when we picked Kewell up for the bargain of £5m almost two years ago I remember laughing and being overly-confident that he would be a great success at Liverpool and for the first few games it looked that way. Since he's been flooded with all sorts of injuries and problems such as not seeing his family (which i read is now resolved).

If it's an op it needs why wait about for it? Get it out the way and get him ready for pre-season. I read he will play again this season in pain, but where is the sense in that? Yes we're short of players and we're at the stage where we have to play these sorts of players through pain to get results but Kewell hasn't been in form since 2003, the form we saw when he first signed for us and then previously at Leeds.

I would rather have him get rid of injuries like Smicer has just done and get back on the form we all know he's capable of.

While he still has three years left on his contract and is being payed £60k a week, something needs sorting.

I want to see the Kewell we all know he can be.

he will have the operation im sure. u can tell ehs just getting disheartened. when he first signed for us and we all saw that interview he gave to the australian press he loved joining us. he also says that he knows he ahs let us down so far. hes trying too hard and not letting himself be fully fit. that in turn is ruining his confidence.

im still confident thata  fully fit kewell would be class for us, justs tartiong to wander if that'll ever happen

I do think that is a bit harsh, but at the same time I can understand your frustrations.

I am sure Kewell would love to be doing well for Liverpool, and the fact the he has played for over a year in pain does show some degree of commitment.

I think that he should be given one more chance to save his Liverpool career, but that can only happen if he gets fully fit.

Rafa seems to be losing his patience with Kewell:
