Vs burnley - Time to look ahead

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby The_Rock » Sat Jan 15, 2005 8:28 pm

Time to move on. We have a match against burnley on tuesday. Its time for a good performance form the team as they have sucked the last 2 times against the scums & watford.

A big win here will make us forget this horrible loss to manure and more impt make this week not that heart-breaking. Here's the team rafa should play against them.

                        Dudek
       Raven    Pelle       Carra    Traore
       Nunez    Biscan     Gerrard  Warnock
                 Garcia        Pongolle

1)Rest Baros, Morientas, Hyppia & Warnock but make sure the subs are strong in case.....
2)See how raven performs at right back (he has been getting good reviews)
3)Bring on morientas later in the match. We should be careful to introduce him to the english league. He has played less than 45 mins this season for real. Can;t expect him to get in the groove at once.  :O

Good point.  Put the Scum game to sleep now.  We will have Burnley, no probs.  Hope the weather is okay this time and the ball isn't blowing everywhere.

I hope they don't follow Watford's example and litter the pitch with balloons to stifle the players passing etc.....

I can't move on at the moment, still fcuking ****** off with those scums!! Most of us fans are feeling same at the moment.

We need a lot of drinks to chill out, do we?

Riise should play left back and it is time for Traore to be dropped for those game on Tuesday night.

i know what your saying about morientes and baros but i think garcia and sinima are too lightweight for an away trip, especially to a lower league side.
this is a big game for burnley, and i expect they would have had a look at the watford game and decide to adopt similar tactics.
if were not up for this or are feeling sorry for ourselves because of todays result this could be a banana skin.

You got to play Morientes in order for him to gain match fitness. You can't expect him not to be rusty if you're going to bench him.

True, he got to play against Burnley to get 100% fit and more confident in English football. I am sure he will get it right.

For the originally intended fixture at Burnley which was postponed, Raffa had made it clear he was going to field a lot of the younger players. Wil be interesting to see which team he pust out on tuesday. I suspect he wil stick with the original line up he had intended for that game with the obvious exception of Morientes who will probably play.

I'm going (Again) , lets hope i get to see more thant he outside of the ground this time ???

Good luck mate, I won't be able to see the first 30 minutes of the game but I'm hoping by the time I do see it, that we will be playing well and dominating.

Are you Houllier in disguise?

-Pellegrino lacks pace so you can't possibly play him as a LB.
-Riise is as a central midfielder?
-Garcia is not a winger that's why he's been sh1t lately,  he's not a midfielder,he's not a winger. Garcia is a supporting striker.
