The only problem is if he started banging in the goals as to keep him we would have to pay through the nose.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

He doesn't have the drive or determination either, and why the f@ck should he?? If Fowler really really wanted put the work into his game again, he could run rings around the whole of the man.city team.

O.K then.

Do we really want a player without drive or determination.

Personaly the sort of players I would like at the club are those who strive for success in any situation and play football for the love of football.

Bring Back The Toxteth Terrier

Living in fantasy land is much better than reality at the moment :D
Never thought I 'd see the day - we would not have a recognised striker to be able to call on

I think he could still do a job - would love to see him back

But as many have said - I'm not sure if I'm thinking with my head or my heart???

Well that's absolute b*llocks mate.

a) See him against Portsmouth? Lively, creative and dangerous.
b) He's on £35,000 a week. He took a pay cut to leave Leeds and work with Keegan.

Like many people have said - it's not a case of form and fitness with Robbie. 3/4 of his drive to get his head down and graft away at his fitness comes from the shirt on his back. Leeds and Man City have been easy money for him, but you can tell that it's not enough.

I'm sure he knows that where his career path goes in the next year will pretty much determine how much longer he has in the game. If he's still at Man City, he'll see out his contract and retire having barely turned 30. If he goes down a division, he'll maybe have a season or so before jacking it in.

If he re-signed for LFC, I could see him going on for another 5 or 6 years, withdrawing to a link up player between midfield and striker as age takes its toll. I'm not saying that he's been an angel, but you'd be a mug to judge him on what you've seen him do for clubs that mean nothing to him.

A loan from January to summer making it clear that he's third choice striker.
A pay as you play deal.

Are you seriously telling me that neither of these things appeal to you? Do you not want to at least know that your point of view about his current quality is right as opposed to merely suspecting?

For me it's a no-brainer. Tonight (v Monaco) we could have done with a fox in the box picking up what scraps we could muster. Seriously, where's the harm? We are not talking about a lot of money, and I'm not suggesting we should pick him up and put him in the first 11 - just bring him in, get him training properly and introduce him as a sub a few times to then see how he responds. If he gives you nothing, you can throw him out come summer.

That's the thing - a player at a club they're not mad on getting no supply is clearly going to be less effective than a player at a club they're in love with getting supply from all angles.

If you look at the last few games that Fowler is having, I can see him getting his touches back. He is a very intelligent player. Would not mind to have him back. He will deliver cos we give him better service than what he could get at CITY.

I will not want him unless he is less than 4mil. More than that, NO.

Fowler would probably come on a free transfer if Man City were to let him go as they would eb happy to get him off the wage bill.
