I don't think he should have took Trey off I thought he was breaking play up well. We 100% need a ball winner in midfield in January.. if we had that today we would have won.

We supposedly have one in Gravenberch but most of the time he's not ar$ed to put in a shift.

I thought we played well against a very strong defense, maybe this came a little early in the season as they are ahead of us in confidence. We made one little mistake and they made us pay for it and then parked the bus, hard to score with so many players in the box, we needed that penalty. Disappointed to lose but we are certainly becoming a proper team. I thought we matched them physically and were the better team and unlucky to lose.

It’s a disappointing result, because Arsenal were there for the taking.

But you can’t argue that we’re progressing and a decent left back and central midfielder could work wonders.

Too early to write off Barcola, but I’m struggling to see where the money has gone.

I also question if Wirtz and Szob can play in the same team.

I really like Jacquet and Munoz though.

Disappointing not to have a shot on target in the whole game at home.

After they scored, it was all us until the end of the half and thought it would be aa matter of time we scored.

Wirtz unlucky from the free kick, Isak should have had a pen for the tug on his shirt and Mac Allister should have ar least hit the target with his header if not score.

Similar to the City game the result feels like a right kick in the nuts but there was a lot to like, for instance i'm loving how aggressive our press was, our CB's were pushed so far up the pitch they were practically playing as 10's at one point, we are not that far away

I'm not sure i get the hate for Barcola. He's lightening quick and a real threat going forward. I think Araujo has been outstanding at RB and really highlighted how pure Kerkez is at LB. Its clear as day where we are lacking and thats a proper no6 and also a Competent left back. If we fix this then we'll definitely be challenging for the title.

Gutted we lost, minimum we deserved a draw. Thought we played very good at times, shooting was bit off hence when we didn't get a shot on target. Once they scored I knew they'd shut shop and defend, and we know how good they are at that.

Anyhow, lads must keep chin up we are going in the right direction. I think goal this season UCL qualification and aim to stay close to Arsenal, single digit margin would be ideal.
With City to be docked I think them fekers are going to retain it.

Lads, don't forget Arsenal are 3 years ahead of us into their project, we need 12 months to catch up. It's unrealistic to expectus to win the league this season, if we come 2nd or 3rd that'll already to be a great achievement. Go go again.

To be fair to Barcola the way the game panned out didnt really suit his game, Arsenal scored first which allowed them to get everyone behind the ball and defend deep. Once Arsenal set their stall out defensively it takes some doing dribbling or passing your way through, you need a strike from distance or a set piece or a penalty or a deflection or something to break them down. What you cant do is miss chances like the one Macca missed, they dont give many chances like that away.
If we would have scored first it would have been a different game.
I'm dissappointed that we lost and dissappointed with the officials letting us down again in a big game but i'm not dissappointed how we played, far from it, considering we were playing the current champions and probable champions elect we were incredibly brave, we pushed right up the pitch indeed Virgil and JJ were wining tackles 40 yards out from their goal which is crazy, everyone was putting their shoulders to the wheel running hard and putting their foot in, we are only 2 or 3 months into Andi's reign and already we look a completely different side to last year. We lost but unlike last season we went out on our shields yesterday, well done to the players and staff, thats how you lose a game, no one wants to lose but if you do go down you go down swinging and thats what we did yesterday, the players didnt walk out that stadium yesterday evening they got carried out on their shields which is the way it should be when you've got a red shirt on.

Defensively Arsenal are a tough nut to crack. Once they went ahead, pretty much set their stall out and just look to get us on the counter.

Macca should have done better with the header but that was a clear pen for the tug on Isak's shirt and with VAR shouldn't matter if he didn't go down.
