We need to win this one, this is the team i'd like to see, i'd give Dom the Trent role where he can drift into MF

                                                    ALISSON

                    DOM                JACQUET      VIRGIL          KERKEZ

                                          NYOMI        GRAVENBERCH

                       MUNOZ                   WIRTZ                BARCOLA

                                                       ISAK

Mc and Sboz in middle, Araujo RB and Barcola on bench.

Wonder what Liverpool will see tonight.

I think Araujo at RB is a good idea, couldn't be much worse than Frimpong was the past two games could he?

Gravenberch on the bench for a second game in a row. I guess Iraola is still mad for the mistakes he made in the first game.

Caught the last 5 mins only. How did they do? Thought after 2-0 so early it might be a hockey score

Good first win and clean sheet for Iraola. Nice to see Isak firing, 3 goals in 3 games so far. Him finding and keeping a good form will be instrumental for our season. Good debut for Araujo too, not great going forward but did basic defending right at least, unlike Frimpong (and Kerkez).

It's still worrying though how many chances we gave mighty Ipswich, and how little control we had especially in the first half.

Yeah first half we started well but game does shows we are a team in progress currently. As Damjan said Ipswich quite easily got through us many times. A quality side would've potentially put a few in. But anyhow nice to see Isak scoring and first 3 points of Iraola.

I was disappointed with Flo in this one. Lost the ball a few times being too laid back with his passes that led to a couple of dangerous attacks from Ipswich. Id carry on with Araujo at RB, we cant afford to play both Frimpong and Kerkez at fullback.

Not a perfect performance by any means but definitely an improvement on the other 2 games, our transformation into a team which is capable of challenging for the biggest prizes in the game is not going to happen overnight, it didn't happen overnight for Jurgen or Arteta so we need to be realistic, anyone tuning in to see the finished article already hasnt got a clue about how this sport works, its going to be a gradual process and today - given it was a win and clean sheet - was definitely a step, albeit a small one, in the right direction.
There is still much more work needed to be done but game by game you can see the managers idea's just starting to come through, we are definitely pressing a lot more in their half and we are getting the ball forward a lot quicker and working harder when we havent got the ball too.
Confidence is a huge thing in sport as well, if we can string a few wins together that alone will help massively.

Game of two halves so I suppose there is still a bit of a way to go to improve on that. Thought we where excellent in the 1st and probably should have been 4 up at half time. They came out better in the 2nd and weren't giving the ball away as cheaply either. They did have a few chances that on another day could have punished us.

Isak took his goals extremely well. Clinical as you like.  Great assists from Gakpo. Munoz is a menace with that pace, that run he went on should have ended up at Isaks feet instead of going it alone. Good game from him though. Aruajo did well at RB but he does look ropey at times. Another good game from Jaquet alongside Virgil. Mac had his best game in a while. Szobozlai again covers a lot of ground and Wirtz right up there with him. Just wasn't a great game from Flo as he got out muscled quite a bit. He was doubled up on though so was tough for him. Great to see Barcola come on and he certainly looks a flyer. Hoping he starts Tuesday against Athletico.

Brilliant to get 3 points and remain unbeaten. Plenty to improve on but still early days with Iraola and we are going in the right direction.
