You feel that given the size and indeed the depth of our squad these days domestic cup games like this have become really important in terms of giving players game time and keeping everyone happy.
These were in the Premier League last season but were one of the worst relegated teams in history. We also beat them on their ground last season in this same competition with a fringe squad so we should be able to do the same at Anfield this time. No reason to risk important players this early in this competition anyway, apart from those that need gametime like Isak. I'd go with:
Well we aren't playing very well but we're 1-0 up. Frimpong has been surprisingly bad and most of the others have been average at best. Some positives though, Leoni has not put a foot wrong and has had a very mature performance even though he's only 18, while Chiesa has probably been our best player in this first half, looks like he finally has the fitness to match his hunger. And of course Isak scores his first goal despite clearly not being match fit.
I forgot red card also includes epl games, thought it was just to the cups ffs Hugo. Good goal but not like you scored against Real or Barca to take ya shirt off.
BTW hope Leoni is okay, looked like a bad injury.

Yet again unconvincing but job done. Thought Chiesa played well, the keeper also. Good to see both strikers amongst the goals but what the hell was Hugo thinking taking his shirt off, we'll miss him against Palace.
