Looked quality yesterday and chipped in with a goal. Obviously one half is not enough to say but he did look like a Rolls Royce defender similar in look to VVD.

Defending space: Excels at reading danger early and covering large areas behind the backline using his rapid recovery speed.

Physical profile: Features long legs and a powerful stride that provide excellent reach in slide tackles and clean standing challenges.

Composure on the ball: Started his youth career as a midfielder, giving him solid passing vision and high ball-playing reliability.

Still early days but showed he's got quality in those 45 minutes he played. He's a promising young talent for sure.

Welcome to the club.

He's only young so he will have good days and bad days and even the likes of Baresi, VVD and Alan Hansen had to learn their trade, you can see why there was so much hype surrounding the lad before we bought him though, he looks like he's going to be a global superstar, you can tell a top player in seconds actually, they just have a certain balance and poise about them.

I think he’s quality will be there to see, can he handle the hustle and bustle of the premier league though? Also how will he come with injuries, especially as in England teams play more matches.

Yeah those are questions that will have to be answered though given the size of the lad and the way he was using his body to bounce players off the ball i think he should be alright when it comes to the physical stuff.
Injuries though may be a concern, he looks like one of those thoroughbred racehorse natural athlete types like Michael Owen, Daniel Sturridge, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain etc to me and as we know that body type is very susceptible to injury.
Early days i know but he looks a great signing it has to be said.
