I wouldn't write off Belgium. They don't have their "golden generation" anymore but that seems to be a positive thing for them, they work as a team now rather than as a group of individuals, and so far they've looked like a very cohesive team to me. I mean I don't really expect them to go to the finals since it's almost always the few usual suspects that get there, but I could see them getting past Spain and going to the semis.

Spain 2-1 Belgium

So first semi is set France Vs Spain.

Lil tricky for France but I think they'll beat Spain.

The others, for financial reasons Fifa would want Argentina vs England, old wounds of 1986, they can build a story on that one.

I don't think people should underestimate Haaland and co, they are a decent side. England defense is bit suspect and imo they'll be anxious around the viking.

I think that game may go to ET or pens.

As for Arg vs Swit, yup Messi will score again and they'll win 2-1. Yawn...

Yup still think we're looking at a France Vs England final. Eng/Arg similar type teams so it will be evenly balanced but Eng should edge it.

Spain are an interesting side, some decent wins en route to semis against Portugal and Belgium. You never know they may cause an upset.

Like Hungary in 54, Holland in 74 and Brazil in 82 you can add France 26 to the long list of teams who should have won the tournament but didnt.

Can't take anything away from Spain as they where full value for that win. France just couldn't match them tonight and never really troubled them.
I think England will join them in the final.

Has been a World Cup where some “superstars” have dragged their team out of the World Cup with pish poor team performances.

Ronaldo, Haaland, Mbappe, Neymar….they have all been poor team players. Some have scored goals, but spent 90% of their time standing around, pointing or rolling around the floor.

Messi has been better, but should he be at a World Cup? He spends most of his time walking around.

Spain really looked like they had that France team figured out. Everyone expected France to win but they were very underwhelming, however that was because Spain made them look ordinary with fantastic team play, especially off the ball. If they can replicate that same preformance in the final I expect them to lift the throphy regardless who they face in that match.
