Some things are bigger than football and Konate has been through alot the last 2 weeks. It was a special moment for him and Alisson knows exactly what that feeling was like.

Great result tonight.

Watching an interview with Ibou after the game. Credit to him. Tough circumstances
Flo too. Very modest and humble. He said it's fun to play with Hugo right now - love to hear that

Been critical of our manager recently but credit where it's due, he got it right tonight   :buttrock
The lads played well, but Kerkez still looks like a work in progress and Mo looked a long way from his best.
But with a 4-1 win against a team that looked like they wanted to send some of our lads to hospital I won't complain .

Don't know how Burn didn't get a second yellow to be honest. Overall though I don't think Newcastle played dirty. Physical, yes. Too often this season we've wilted in physical games but not so much tonight. Hell, Ibou was getting stuck in and that's not usually the case. On balance we deserved that after a shaky start but really grew into the game.

A good win, after a poor start to the game.

Long way to go until I think we’ve turned a corner.

That was a good win in fairness. Thought we showed good fight and a desire to get ourselves back into it after going behind. Wirtz MOTM as he makes so much tick. Hugo close second and also a great game from Ibou. Id say that was tough for him and delighted he got a goal.

Salah is finished imo and Gakpo doesnt suit the league at all. Both of them need to go in the summer. They will get the odd goal but dont do enough to warrant the amount of minutes they are getting.

Id say Slot is on cloud 9 but still has a way to go tbh. He needs to get top 4 and regular performances like that out of them.

Is there a better player in the prem atm than Wirtz, if there is i haven't seen him, he cost us a few bob but you get what you pay for, the cream always rises to the top.

Wirtz and Ekitike are the future, young and flourishing. We need to surround them with talent if we want to succeed. I don't want to see them wasted, we can build on something special.

Have to rate Wirtz, came with a huge price tag, took lil bit of time settling with mixed performances. But importantly he kept going, kept working hard and now it is paying off. I think his bagged 6 goals in last 10 apps or something with assists to his name also.

The future has to be Wirtz playing CAM, Ekitike LW, Isak Striker and we need to invest in a new pacey winger. Olise or Diomande would be perfect for replacing Salah who got outpaced by Trippier in yesterday's game.

What a turnaround, well done lads.

As everyone highlights Wirtz and Ekitike forging a great partnership and need to focus on getting support players for these two.
As Red states above, Mo and Gakpo are history, we need scrappers not artists.

Leipzig want 100M for Diomande. If we ship Salah off to Saudi, it's a no brainer for me
