This comes hot off the midweek win against Qurabag so hopefulky confidence is high. Only 3 points separating us in tge league. Our record is good against these as well especially at Anfield. Konate returns to the squad along with Jones.

Think we will start with.

Allison.

Szob. Konate. Virgil. Kerkhez.

Macca. Grav. Wirtz.

Salah. Etitike. Gakpo.

Goes without saying we need to get our first league win in 2026. We cant afford to be letting UTD and the Chavs open up a gap.
Il go 2.1 to us but hopefully its better :buttrock

You may be right but starting Szob at RB is borderline suicidal Every time he plays there we get ripped a new one in midfield.

Rather see Endo or even Jones start there to be honest.

I wouldnt play him there either but i think its what Slot will do. Defensively Endo would be better but wont offer much going forward. Jones for me has an awful habit of switching off.

I don't like Dom at RB either but we don't really have a choice. We've played both Endo and Jones there before and they've been even worse.

I definitely wouldn't be starting with both Gakpo and Salah, they just don't work hard enough and against Newcastle we must win the midfield battle. I'd rather play Jones instead of Gakpo with Wirtz on the left, but I think Slot will go with a OP's line up.

Whatever we do Slot must start winning games in the league for both the club's and his own sake.

Chelsea win it at the end against West Ham after being 2-0 down. We need to win just to keep up. Sorry for being negative but I just can't see it with both Salah and Gakpo in the starting line-up.
