I’m not sure why I would want someone that left us because he’d had enough and broke his contract, how can we rely on him not to do it again. The saying is never go back and that is what that would be. If Slot leaves I would hope it would be for another ten year manager. It’s taken Arteta 6 years and huge spending to make Arsenal a contender, we cannot just fire the coach after a run of bad results. Best option is Slot turns it around.

My heart says this guy should be given the season to sort this mess out.

But my head says Slot has been found out and he isn’t turning this around.

He’s dismantled Klopp’s well oiled footballing machine and replaced it with a clown car.

I want it to work but can't see it, no signs.

Something has to change, and something has to change now. Even after all the horrendous results we are not completely out of the title race or the Champions league. Ive seen more than enough now to confidently say Slot is not turning this mess around. Players look uninterested, lost, and have no fight in them. We'll just keep losing points here and might not even make the top 4 if this carries on.

I'm not sure what happened for us to be in such a mess.. is the coaching staff over working the players? Are the tactics all wrong? Is Slot too stubborn to change anything?

Like the previous poster said, its a long term project here, and sacking Slot would have to be the last chance saloon..


But I feel we've come to that point.

Does anyone think Slot has lost the dressing room?

Can’t work out what he’s said or done to cause such disruption, but clearly squad harmony is at an all time low.

Right from day 1 I never liked his style of slow football, here we are a season and a half later and we're worst off for it. Nothing will change with this fella.

I do think amongst the squad there maybe questions over his some of his decisions, e.g routinely assigning some players to their less than favoured positions (Wirtz , Szobo) .
Personally I continue to wonder why week after week an average Gakpo is apparently Slotts 1st name on the team sheet

I think he has lost some of them tbh. Its a work environment at the end of the day and everyone knows what its like when the boss has favourites. Gakpo absolute rubbish but keeps getting rewarded for it. Grav gets to roam. Van Dijk hasnt been great either but escapes criticism. Konate won't sign, has been gash as well but again, plays every week. Mc Allister cast aside to make room for Wirtz. Szob in multiple positions. Then there is the likes of Chiesa, Gomez and Endo who haven't a chance unless we are desperate. Mo is the only one thus far to air it publicly. Etitike in form but 50/50 chance he starts. Isak is proven in this league but drowning with Slots tactics. Robbo dropped like a brick.

If they where fully behind him we wouldn't be putting in so many half a rsed performances or getting rolled so easy. His tactics are terrible but he says we aren't taking our chances and it would be different if we did. That again is rubbish because we create nothing. He blanks players when they are coming off like its their fault hes looking out of his depth. The defence is like a sieve all season and hes done nothing to tighten it up or try anything different up front other than swap out the 9. I can take draws at 0.0 because at least we are not handing out Xmas presents months in advance. Throwing away leads like the other night is down to him and his changes. They looked like they hadn't a clue where to be or what the game plan is. We all can see it happening weekly and the players do as well.

Honestly couldn't give a toss if Salah goes and likewise with Slot.  He won't change things and that will end up being his downfall. We are awful to watch and its down to him. They won't pull the plug on him and more than likely will back him in January with a player or two to see if something clicks. I read yesterday that hes never lost 3 in a row so is in unchartered territory which doesnt bode well for us.

His biggest boggie man is Chiesa and he's always full of enthusiasm.
Konate is playing ***** but he can't begrudge the manager for that.
Robbo's not getting games but he's another Milner, will stay loyal.
I don't understand who he's supposed to have lost.

Its just my opinion Reg as none of us really no whats going on behind the scenes. Are they busting a nut for him and the answer is no. Is Chiesa really happy, I doubt it but thankfully hes a professional and handles it the right way. Mo is the only one to go and moan but thats not to say others arent unhappy with their situation..

To be fair to Arne he stood his ground in the post match interview on Prime when Seedorf said he thought the club should offer an olive branch to Mo, Arne just said it's Mo who needs to apologize not the club. He's a nice guy, very easy to like it's just that he makes such strange decisions.
Good win last night though, i liked that formation with the 2 up top, they hadn't been beaten in 3 years at home in the CL and had appeared in 2 of the last 3 finals so on our day as Madrid found out we can beat anyone.
