Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby red till i die!! » Fri Aug 08, 2025 1:46 am

Looking forward to this tbh. We should see something close to a starting 11.

                                        Becker.

  Frimpong.          Konate.     Virgil.         Kherkhez.

                         Mac.                          Grav
                                            Wirtz.
                    Salah.                                    Ngumho.
                                          Ekitike

That Rio lad has earned a start for the preseason he's had. Went with a 4,2,3,1 but haven't a breeze what way we will set up. Just hope the new lads are in our best 11.

Im going for a win by 2 or more!!

Can't see Rio starting but will definitely get minutes. Would be nice to test him against a prem side and better to do that in this one than in a league game. Also I think Mac might not be at 100% at the moment so maybe Szobozlai will start in his place.

Looking forward to this one, first real test for the new guys and the team in general.

Imagine Rio has a cracker and we decide not to buy another ST lol. Regardless, his too young yet and atm it is his learning phase, cant put too much pressure on a kid.

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Jones; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike

Subs: Mamardashvili, Endo, Mac Allister, Chiesa, Elliott, Robertson, Nyoni, Doak, Ngumoha

Grav absent because his girlfriend is in labor. Midfield looks a bit lightweight without both Mac and Grav tbh. Bench looks a bit weak as well, we definitely need more players in the squad.

Good goal Ekitike, that's what we need a striker to do.

Stone wall penalty...Virg just a sec too slow with his tackle. Ali had pretty poor record saving penalties, so 1-1

Happy for Frimpong to get off the mark as well.

Couldn't they schedule this for 9pm or something? Looks terribly hot there, Konate seems like he's having some problems with the heat.

Is Curtis even on the field? Bloody hell talk about going MIA

Meanwhile Wirtz is the heartbeat of the team now, Frimpong taking a big load off Mo and at times, Ekitike is mimicking Bobby LOL

That goal made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, what a strange but fitting goal.

Almost like he’s popped down to nod it in as a final goodbye…

Diogo just took on a different role now...I bet he is picking the team in his Football Manager

Man, scoring in the 20th minute and 20th second and the ball going in in such a way like someone was guiding it in definitely makes one question everything.

I don't like our chances in the penalty shootout...not with Ali at goal (happy to eat humble pie). We looked super shaky at the back

We cant go into the season without another striker and another CB. We look so short on options from the bench.
