Top professional. Happy to see him stay but a little surprised at the length of the contract.

Hard working player. I think his influence off the pitch has a lot to say about our success. Hopefully he gets some more PL winners' medals to add to his collection

Wondered about that alright but it must be his fitness levels that convinced the powers that be. The man is a machine. A model pro, the way he looks after himself.

Also he is probably looking at the long game and knows he will get less playing time with one eye on management, its a good deal for both player and club.

I’m happy to see Milner staying another year, he may not play as much next year but when called upon he’ll do a job. His professionalism however is what is needed for all the younger players coming through and you’d think he would move into management so who better than Klopp to learn from. If he plays 11 more games then he would have played 300 which is incredible really. Didn’t he join on a free?

Yup same here, experienced and good for the young lads. He can be used in cups games or when needed. Always good to have an experienced old head around.

I hope this will be his last season/first season moving into coaching (although he's very much on a player salary and not a coach salary). He should follow the Stevie G path of starting with the younger lads with an ultimate target of the U18's etc. Just follow Stevie. I expect he's ideal for the role and whether he stays at LFC or not, he'd be a perfect manager role model in the premier league.  Potential manager of Leeds, Burnley, Villa before going any higher.

Retiring from football, top player, reliable machine. All the best Milly, great servant for us during his tenure.

What a fantastic career he’s had. A real example to any footballer that you don’t need a Messi skill set to become one of the most decorated players in your league.

It is easy to forget now because it was a quarter of a century ago but Milly, whilst he was no Messi, did actually start life as a skilful tricky winger. His career took a very similar path to Ian Callaghan's actually. Listening to Jurgen JM clearly played a big role in our success.

What all young football players should aspire to be. He’ll certainly become a coach so certainly we’ll see him again.
