Fair post Santa. We've only conceeded 4 goals at home, only Chelsea have a better record than that who have conceeded 3 at home.

Josemi is a concern so I doubt that he will start in the next game, I'm sure Benitez knows that after we conceeded the second goal.

Huge improvement since last season.

I have a feeling that rafa will still continue to josemi.
One criticism i have about rafa is that, he seems to favour josemi a lot. Even when he has a stinker, rafa does not sub him. Latest example is today where he opted to sub risse instead of josemi.

Have to agree with finnan starting the next game. I thrashed finnan left, right & centre at the beginning of the season, but now he is beggining to show the form that had him being voted premiership best right back 2 years ago.

Different coach, different player

John Barnes' Granny wrote:League goals are obviously most important, although Baros is well on course for at least 20 goals in all competitions for us this season. If he can manage 20 league goals then that would be a significant return, and all other goals would be a bonus.

CL goals are also important, although it doesn't matter as much in that competition as long as other players contribute and get us through the games. As the Premiership season comprises of 38 games a season, it is important that at least one player is scoring prolifically as goal scoring midfielders alone might not be enough.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'd love Harry Hewell to get himself a goal soon. It would do him the world of good.

i agree... kewell has the best games in the season...hyypia is also at fault... josemi is trying to play off side.. but.. of all 4 defenders.. hyypia is playing the opposition ONSIDE>> SO AT FAULT....

hyypia for the second goal. is at fault also for giving the opposition a clear header...

come to think about it.. it is only when he gets the captain armband . then he perfrom below par.. so hope garrard comes back.. then gvie everyone a boost...

just cant imagine.. if in the past.. we lose our captain gerrard.. like last season.. we wont have a fair no. of results like this season..
thankc gaffer

me thinks carra should take the armband in Gerrard's abscence, or maybe even Alonso if Rafa wants to go foreign, he looks a natural born leader

I must say that earlier in the season i thought we missed out on a golden oppurtunity to sell Baros for what he was worth.  But he has proven his worth and fixed some of his main isues and built up his confidence to the point where he can score from half field.  Hopefully we will see cisse out there playing witha  electronic wheelchair.  No one can tell me they wouldn't wanna see that :)
