Is the semi final separate to the quarter final draw, or do you find out Friday who we could face in the semis also!?

My Dream of getting drawn versus manure has gone out the window! Boo hoo

Just think, we are just FIVE games from winning the European Cup. If we get to the semi finals, we'll be just THREE games away :p

Remember Istanbul :eyebrow

Obviously, Roma and Sevilla are the easiest opponents.

The rest are tough for varying reasons...

Man city : Have strength/Depth
Juventus : finalists 2/3 prev seasons
Barcelona : Messi/ Suarez etc
Real Madrid : Ronaldo and co/ winners.
Bayern Munich : Have Quality throughout, organised etc

No easy ties, really.

Have a weird feeling it's going to be Munich...

I know people say we won't win it etc etc but I was thinking yesterday this is what being a football fan is about. 5 games away, I've started dreaming about it. It's unlikely but we've shown we're not here to make up the numbers. 1 of the 8 has to win it, why not us. I'm loving being amongst it again.

The draw :

LIVERPOOL v MANCHESTER CITY

JUVENTUS v REAL MADRID

SEVILLA v BAYERN MUNICH

BARCELONA v ROMA

Man city ffs. The one team I did not want. We can beat them but gonna be very tough.

Disappointing to be honest.
The tie itself doesn't excite me... But the two games should be crackers.
OH WELL - TOO MANCLAND WE GO!

Just feels like we haven't earned and have been denied a big EUROPEAN night!
Let's face it, not matter how big a club THINK they are because of their wealth...
They are not among EUROPS ELITE  :no and definitely not EUROPEAN ROYALTY!  :buttrock
---
How does a club become one of Europes Elite?
Seems like we're doing them the favour in all honesty.

Second leg on 10/11 April is just two days after the Derby on 8th April. Klopp gonna have to do some major rejigging of the squad for that week.

3/4 April : Liverpool v Man City
7th April : Man City v Man Utd
8th April : Everton v Liverpool
10/11 April : Man City v Liverpool

I'm pretty sure it's been like this for a while at this stage of the competition. It's so more games can be televised which ultimately means UEFA and the clubs pocket more money.

Hmmm... it is definitely more dragged out than what I remember mate. Maybe I wasnt paying attention for the last couole of seasons because we havent been in it...

Worst draw we could get...City are the best team in the tournament and playing them twice with the 2nd at their place...pretty brutal..

The draw couldn't have been much worse tbh, second leg away as well.
One thing I will say though is we've played City twice this season and while we've had XI men on the pitch we've more than held our own. We didn't have VVD in any of the games either.
