Surely that's glorifying it. It's riddled with hipocrisy

Tell me about it Greavesie, down under the well known children entertainers The Wiggles had a Suarez pardoy song for the kids a fews days after event

Incredible and somewhat catchy

If he is wanting a move to Barca, I rather he go now then we cop his ban and then he takes off next season

If we bag £80 million for him then I'd hope our owners have the nuts top give Brendan it to strengthen because without Suarez we really do need some investment

With our tight a**e owners, inept / incompetent management and woeful recruiting standards I don't have any faith that we would use the 80m wisely.

All other English clubs pale into insignificance!"

its really odd that he would release that statement after the earlier one when he claimed to have fell on chiellini's shoulder, kind of makes the lad look a right liar.
its definitely a pr excercise and the 1st step to an appeal seen as he has given an undertaking that it will never happen again  :;):  this ban will get overturned or reduced imo.
for luis though i really hope he isn't agreeing anything with barca behind the clubs back as that would be enough for me.
if we are in talks about a deal then we need to hold firm as they have a transfer ban pending. if they only want to pay £50 mil then they can have him in january 2016  :nod
time to flash those big ball's again J.H  :D

Suarez, even prior to the biting incident and if the press are to be believed had been engineering a move to either one of those big 2 in Spain. So even if the biting incident never happened, he would have wanted out anyway. If there is an exit clause of 80M if either RM or Barca wants him and LS is crying to leave, then we should not compromise with the 80M and let them have him for at least that amount. If they try to bargain because he's a 'damaged good', then we tell them to p#ss off.

We should not be silly enough to sell him for a lower price because of the ban. Because if Barcelona don't  mind having him being banned till October, why shouldn't we? Personally, I would still want to keep him because at least half of our 101 PL goals were assisted and/or scored by Suarez. I'll probably get a lot of stick for this, but I am of the opinion that without Suarez last season, we most probably would have finished somewhere between 4th to 6th. So we cannot afford to lose him and do all we can to keep him.

Oh Suarez how you disappoint me...

Apology should read

After several days of hiding away with my agent and legal team, they have had the time to carefully formulate a sensible response to my incident that I can copy and paste into a twitter post so I can move to Barcelona.

Despite all the filthy lies I have told, I couldn't help but sink my teeth into the Italian. I just had to.

I deeply regret not moving to Spain earlier
I apologize to Barca for scarring them off, please come and get me. The bite should make me affordable now.
I vow to do something so stupid that no person on the planet will understand

Oh and f*ck Liverpool and England

for all we know guys, the two clubs might have already come to a draft agreement. the announcement of the transfer of could be delayed while we sort out the Sanchez or an alternate replacement issue. Barca will appeal and FIFA will reduce the suspension and the ban will then only be limited to International matches. LFC are making very little official comments about this issue and the focus now seems to be to sign replacement before clubs starting to up their prices once they know we are being loaded with Suarez money. believe me Luis is as good as gone now

Exactly, I'm beyond caring anyway. It's all a case of WHEN he goes, not IF...

But saying that, if he stays until next summer then I wouldn't object. However, we must stand firm on our valuation, which I believe is 70-80 million.

oh yeah we will miss his talent no doubt. It's sad but the time is right for him to leave and for the rest to stand up and compensate for the loss. The £80M will no doubt cushion the loss

and so it begins...
Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has described Luis Suarez as "humble" and "an excellent player" after the Liverpool forward apologised for biting Giorgio Chiellini.

The 27-year-old has been linked with the Spanish club despite receiving a four-month ban for the incident in Uruguay's World Cup win over Italy.

Zubizarreta welcomed his contrition.

"Suarez has shown he is humble enough to admit an error, which is very important," he said.

"Everyone knows Luis is an excellent player, everyone knows last season he played in various positions in attack, but everyone also knows he is a Liverpool player."

Suarez released a statement apologising to Chiellini on Monday.

However, the absence of any reference to Liverpool fuelled speculation the apology was related to Barcelona's reported desire to sign the striker, who scored 31 goals last season.

Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who completed his move to Barcelona from Sevilla on Tuesday, also praised Suarez.

He said: "Regardless of whether the club signs him or not, his quality is unquestionable. He has the necessary quality to play for Barca."

The £70/80m touted is the absolute minimum I would accept. As much as I have defended Luis in the past this lot really is beginning to stink. Has the entire thing been engineered by Suarez, his agent and Barcelona? Before Luis's almost last chance chomp (Uruguay looked as if they were going out!) we were talking about not less than £100m so as things stands it was possibly the smallest and most expensive meal Liverpool FC have ever paid for !!!  I'm not really one for conspiracy theories but.................
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)
