Rafael Benitez gives his latest thoughts to Liverpoolfc.tv as he looks ahead to our Champions League date in La Coruna.
Rafa, what do you make of tomorrow's game?
It is going to be tough because they are a good side. The most important thing at the end of the game is going to be the three points. Both teams have to win. Both sides have other options if the game ends in a draw but we have more options than they do if we lose. We can still qualify if we lose the game. They need the points more than we do.
Do you expect them to attack you more than they did at Anfield?
The more they attack us then the more we will be able to go at them. I think it will be a game of attack and defence. We will have a go at them and then they will have a go at us. I think they will play better than they did at Anfield but I hope they will play the same way.
Their manager has said you have an advantage over him because you know a lot about Deportivo. Do you agree with that?
No, in the era of videos and DVD's there are no advantages for anyone.
Who will replace Djibril Cisse and partner Milan Baros?
We have an idea of what we are going to do but I'm not going to tell you. We have other possibilities and now we have to use them.
How frustrated are you that you have to change your attacking line-up?
It's always bad when a player gets an injury, especially if it's a long term problem. We now have to adapt and change and accept our responsibility.
Are you interested in either Morientes or Villa?
I don't talk about other players, especially before big games. It doesn't matter how many times you ask me the question, I will not talk about speculation.
Is it fair to say that you're looking for a replacement for Cisse?
There is no rush. Of course we are scouring the market just as other clubs are.
You say there's no rush, but do you expect to sign a striker in January?
We have not planned that far ahead yet but, as I just said,it is our obligation to keep an eye on the market. It is up to the players we have here now. If they score lots of goals between now and January then perhaps it will not be necessary to sign anybody. But we will see.
How is Xabi Alonso?
We are optimistic that he will be fit to play. We will see after training when I speak with the doctor.
How important is Harry Kewell going to be for you over the coming games following Cisse's injury?
Harry is very important. He can play as a winger or as a second striker. Now that we don't have Cisse there will be possibilities for Pongolle, Garcia, Kewell and Mellor. Between now and January we will be playing two games a week so we will have to use all the players and Harry is going to be very important for us.
Would you hesitate to give Neil Mellor a starting place?
He is training well and scoring goals for the reserves. We have a Carling Cup game next week and after that we will see.
