Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

I know that you all feel that Suarez is just another thick, uneducated, mercenary, glory (money) hunting South American, but I don't think that he's that disloyal and that much of a kunt to leave in the summer if we have a top 4 finish this season (or more). I think that he thought that the club isn't capable of achieving a CL spot and he felt that he should be competing with the best for every title. We weren't able to offer that so he thought that he should leave sooner rather than later because he isn't going to stay young and be at his best forever. But we managed to keep him and I believe that if we get a top 4 finish he won't ask to leave in the summer.

If we're nowhere near the top 4 though, he might even ask to leave during the winter.

Welcome back. @srehole for his behaviour in the summer but there's absolutely no doubting the guy's brilliance. He can fire us into the CL next season. The way everyone around us is this season, it's very much in our hands. One very happy red this weekend after a tough last week  :)

Why aren't you hoping he scores 35 goals, we get into the champions league and keep one of the top five players in world football? ???

Yep, yet nowhere near his best. Didn't he celebrate with the fans about his baby and goal? Didn't see the fans reaction, but that could be a good sign. I'd not put my house on him leaving just yet.

fooking brilliant performance from him today, absolute genius  :buttrock can't wait till we have a fit coutinho spoon feeding him and sturridge.
i really hope this thread isn't going to be filled with shabite on every page that he wants out and he is a ruthless mercenary  :no
in his head he wanted a bigger move and it never materialised, thats it, in fairness he gave plenty of notice and didnt resort to handing in a transfer request so while it isnt an ideal situation that your no 1 striker wanted out, he could have made it much worse.
the most important thing is that he is here  :buttrock  giving 100%  :buttrock  and scoring goals  :buttrock
welcome back luis suarez  :buttrock

If you go back through this thread you will see countless lemmings having a pop at him because he wanted to move to a side that had higher aspirations then us and was in the CL. He never moved to the Gooners nor did he force a move beyond voicing his discontent throughout the summer.

I was staggered, absoulately staggered to read that some on here were comparing him to Judas and his 11th hour transfer request betrayal, and beyond that some even had the cheek to praise Judas for "being upfront" and forcing his move, while Suarez was "sneaky", "deceitful" and "doing everying behind the scenes" which was "far worse"........... :no

He may well be off in the summer... but as long as he scores goals for us before he does go and as long as he helped us achieve top 4 and as long as we get good money for him... I got no freakin problem at all...

Amen then to that and if decides stick around and spearhead our CL campaign the following season that would be alright as well

Good to have him back.

Nowhere near his best yet but still bagged two goals.  Class player whatever else you might think about him.

I think Suarez' words and quotes from interviews indicate pretty p!ss poor behaviour on anyone's part. How it compares to Torres' behaviour is subjective but they both acted the kunt if you ask me. Football fans eh?

So far as I can gather, Luis has turned down an offer to return to Uruquay due to his baby's birth. He wanted to get back into the team. If that's true, I hope the doubters will give due credit. Apologies come in all shapes and sizes.

I am 100% a doubter,

To restore the faith this is what Suarez must achieve this season:

Work hard
Score goals
no suspensions for ridiculously immature reasons
no biting
no racial stuff
no middle finger salutes at fans
no long distance media broadcasts about how he wants to leave
no sulking like a little kid

If he manages all that then I will believe he is genuine.

Agree they both acted like kunts but Suarez has his chance of redemption this season, as killerp just said he has a major list of things he needs to do to win back our trust.

Torres on the other hand can never and will never be forgiven. You ask half the lemmings on this board and they would jump at having that Judas f**k back here  :no

Well, you can tick the first two off the list. And he's not broken any of the listed conditions, so right now you must be 100% believer :D
