First of all I'm not convinced he would take us court knowing that there is almost a certain chance he will lose.
Second as mentioned if he is stupid enough to break his contract by either not playing or pushing things through the courts (where the outcome is inevitable), then he can sit him in the reserves. We should under no circumstances bullied by a player or club to sell, if we do we might as well shut down the club right now.
Thirdly if Bale does go for this stupid reported amount of 100m, then that instantly should be the price tag slapped on Suarez for any club.
As for the gooners they can get f**ked for all I care, hopefully the silly f**kers get knocked out in the CL playoffs.
He has already taken one club to court knowing that he possibly wouldn't win and still did
And shoving Suarez into the reserves will never happen - its great to think that but in reality it will be just counter productive. Might as well sell him and use the money to buy a couple quality players.
And Suarez will never go for the same as Bale regardless of the ability.
I think there is a big, big difference between taking Gronigen to court as compared to taking Liverpool FC to court.
Especially considering his current reputation in the UK and how the public perceives him.
If you were Suarez, you would need to consider the following:
- The (both mental and financial) fallout of him having to do this
- The level of negativity and abuse he will get from EVERY single Liverpool fan for the rest of his life, his only major backing fanbase left in Europe
- The risk of the courts coming down heavily on him and punishing him even further
- And even if he does win, the risk of Arsenal not making the CL next season (or even this season)
These are major things Benny, that Suarez and his camp will be giving some rationale thought before even considering making such an extreme decision.
At the end of the day I don't think its that easy and its something that he would not be deciding on lightly, even based on his prior history.
Regardless, I think we both agree on one fundamental thing. If there is anything to learn from this whole sordid Suarez ordeal its that we need new owners, ones that are willing to back Rodgers in the transfer market and that are truly "hell-bent" on getting us CL footbalL and beyond that challenging for the title (season in, season out) because at this moment in time I haven't seen ANYTHING from them to prove this.
