We were never going to fold. And they have so far been in charge whilst our club is going through its worse period - 3 managers so far , one director of football , numerous communication officers , mistreatment of a club legend , nothing on stadium and plenty more.

Kenny spent alot of money and got us 8th. That isnt good enough unfortunately.

The communications fellow deserved to be fired after he physically threatened a WUM (please note). Woy was a terrible appointment and Kenny was a desperate appointment that could have worked out if they'd limited it to one season but unfortunately they didn't. The owners however fully backed each appointment with serious cash.

And we were close to being wound up, RBS called in the loan and the board forced through the sale to FSG thanks to Grabbo.

Anyway BTN, get happy clappy and stop being negative.

Our worst period was under H&G. How you claim otherwise only Fowler knows.

Also, to put your disingenuous point into context, Woy was here before FSG and you certainly wouldn't be happy if he was here still to ensure the manager no. under them remained #1; he had to be sacked but was appointed by someone else. Kenny was signed under pressure and nostalgia, many thought it'd work, unfortunately it didn't.

So, to put it into context, it can be argued that Rodgers is FSG's first independently placed manager of their choice to work for them.

Immediately prior to the FSG buy out we were due £280M to RBS. In the event that RBS pursued administration, the league offered little indication they would bail us out. Even if they did, at what cost? 9 points? More, risk of relegation?

There was no chance whatsoever of RBS extending the loan. They were being swallowed by the financial crisis since the wall street crash - our existence didn't even register to them, them wanted the money they were owed and would pursue at any cost. Even if that cost was the liquidation of one of footballs most famous sides.

Ian Ayres confirmed this state himself -

“Would we have gone into administration?” ponders Ayre. “Certainly the bank had the power to call in the debt and at the time there wasn’t anyone ready to take on that debt. So I guess the answer to that is yes.

“The most difficult part of it was that it was a financial issue; the ability of the club to continue to invest in the team with the growing level of debt that existed.

“The commercial part of the business was continuing to grow but the disenfranchising of fans started to kill even that.

“What you had was a domino effect of things.

“The servicing became harder because the revenues became smaller.”

I didn't think we'd need to explain that to him but well done SCS. so yes benny, we were very lucky indeed to get the owners we now have. We could've been in the 2nd division this season still, worse still, we may not of existed at all.

So we wouldn't have folded then ? Possible Administration but not folding as a club.

Under H@G we were in the CL every season bar one - reached a CL final and had our best prem finish for years.

Under FSG we haven't been above 7th I think.

So we wouldn't have folded then ? Possible Administration but not folding as a club.

Would you rather a club in administration or one on a stable footing?

Yes I would rather FSG but that wasnt the point was it.
