I done a silly thing though and went onto gameofthronesWiki and pretty much read all major spoilers for this next series/book. Still looking forward to seeing how certain scenes are played out though.

FYI If anyone was wondering the track used in that trailer was actually from Tron Legacy.

I wonder what happens when series catches up with books , considering the length of time Martin has taken to write these things. Are we going to end up with mother of all cliffhangers and then have to wait ten years before next series :D

I suspect they will have the Dunk and Egg Novellas all done and dusted by then. It's set in Westeros but 90 years earlier to what we are watching now. Dunk is Ser Duncan the Tall, a legendary member of the Kingsguard and Egg is the nickname for Aegon V Targaryen. I believe 3 of these short stories have been completed so far and Martin wants around 9.

But also there are still 2 more books to go so plenty of time yet tbh.

Amen to that, love the episode .

Though like second series I think I will lament the fact that with so many splintered stories to follow that one hour episode  just wont do it justice

Enjoying The Vikings  :buttrock  . The main character btw is apparently an actual historical figure.

One of my fave shows right now is "The Americans". Set in the 80's it's about a family of deep cover but active Soviet spies living as Americans in the USA. A bit of a slow burner but similar in flavour to "Homeland", is you enjoyed that you'd probably like this ---->  The Americans-trailer

Main Character's wife in Vikings  rocks

Heard some good things about The Americans.

I currently hooked on the German wartime mini series  "Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter" (Our Mothers Our fathers) which details lives of 5 young German friends from 41-45

Wasn't bad at all Tony although like the Wehrmacht it started brilliantly but fell apart at the end.
Really enjoyed the first two parts though third was bit anti climatic, characters meandered and filled with to many contrivances for my liking

Still definitely worth a look

I don't understand how you people like the Vikings. It's a poor man's Game of Thrones... the characters are so shallow... it gets boring... for eg. They keep showing the chieftain's background story but the characterization is so shallow that you can't relate to it... so he lost his sons... so what? I watch it if i don't have anything else to watch though...

Gave up on it towards the end of the last series, just got bored with it.

Just started watching Hannibal ,originally wasn't all that enamoured with Mads Mikkelsen  playing the lead part ,but soon changed
my tune. Excellent series ,shades of Sherlock mind ,but nevertheless a genuinely gripping series.
