Guess Brendan doesnt fancy him contributing significantly next season but if it was up to me Id have been holding onto him for another 12 months. Maybe his age counted against him under the Fenway philosophy of promoting youth? Good luck anyway Maxi thanks for those hattricks in Dalglish's first season when we were playing some wonder fuseball.

All the best Maxi and thanks for the memories.

Totally agree, and really wish we could have held onto for another season or two. We don't seem to be building the squad at all so far.

at first i thought we might regret letting the likes of kuyt and maxi go as we have got potentially a lot of cup fixtures to fulfill next season but thinking about it it may not neccessarily be such a bad thing if we dont bring anyone in to directlly replace them. maybe rodgers is planning on giving the likes of suso, sterling, pacheco, texiera, adorjan, robinson etc a chance to show what they can do in the cups. maybe having so many experienced `squad` type players at the club over the past few years has got in the way of player development.
