I actually think buisness reasons aside that Mista is the better player for us!!
I still think we have two good strikers here now but we do need another regardless and Mista i think will give more options!!

I haven't actually seen mista play apart from some highlights of him scoring goals.

Is he a "fox in the box" type of player ?

Is he a spanish international ?

St.Michael......this is a big issue.......where's the blickin money coming from?  I wish we could get this sorted out for December so Rafa's pot of gold is sorted for January.

Our board room is a joke.

could well be, Mista is a mcuh more realistic target, although their is that riff with Valencia and Rafa, whcih may mean Rafa doesn't want to sign any Valencia players. However if Mista's contract runs out then he wouldn't be a Valencia player anymore, so their would be no problem.

Took you this long to figure it out? Mista hasn't played many games for Valencia this season. He won't sign a contract with Valencia meaning that he will wak out on a bosman. Both Mista and Benitez have the same agents, and Benitez knows Mista so he is set to come this January.

If we take Mista before Morientes it must be a decision based on finance alone. If money where no object you would take Morientes.

How about we look at things another way round here. Baros is a prolific scorer for his country. Maybe we could take someone short term who we know he has a great understanding with already. Jan Koeller from Dortmund.

would I be correct in saying that Liverpool have had the most shots at goal in the premiership this season?
Sure I seen that on sky sports last week??

To be honest I dont know much about this Mr. Mista, has he been a first team regular? Havent seen much of him on the Spanish games on Sky or Champ League... How can we be sure he is the answer?

Adebisi, he was a regular goalscorer in La Liga last season, around 20 goals I think, plus a few in the UEFA Cup.

He hasn't been involved this season cos Ranirie has brought in some Italian players to replace him as valencia's contract offer was laughable according to Mista and I have a feeling that cos Mista and Benitez use the same agent they have been in talks regularly.

Baros and Cisse I think personally are coming along ok individually, and hopefully eventually they will prove a good
In the first half yesterday we created about 8 chances,

Ok we can get away with it against the likes of Charlton, West Brom, Norwich etc, but when we play the likes of Arsenal at home, we have to be more clinical infront of goal.

Discuss.

St Mick,
When you say discuss, do you mean without saying anything negative about Cisse and Baros ?
Or are we allowed to say it as we see it ?

Redrider stop looking for an arguement!
If you have views on what StMike has just said then say something thats what discuss means.
It doesnt mean try and get a rise out of someone!

Getting a bit hot in the kitchen what !
Let's all hold hands and walk into the Sunset saying how wonderful life is !!
I think we tried that one with Houllier and his squad and we almost lost the spine of the team !!
It is impossible to discuss our lack of goals from the strikers and the need for a main man, without being critical of Cisse & Baros.
Get real lad's, it's not about loyalty, its about improving our team so that we can compete at the highest level.

One or two of you will not like this extact from an article by Len Capeling in the Daily Post :

Noted tactician may ponder shopping list Oct 27 2004
By Len Capeling, Daily Post

The Spaniard's notes would make fascinating reading.( Rafa after Charlton Game )

Whether written in Spanish or Spanglish, they'd exult at the move-ment Benitez has demanded his team, while at the same time mourning the lack of the killer touch that might reprieve better opposition.

Milan Baros worked hard without giving the impression that 20 goals is going to be within his compass, although two goals last night at Mill-wall will undoubtedly have helped. As with his fellow striker, Djibril Cisse, the Czech player sees too little of what's going on around him, which must be a pain for a playmaker as aware as Xabi Alonso.

Cisse has gifts, or so we're told, but apart from one thunderously-struck free-kick that rebounded off an upright, he continues to look like El-Hadji Diouf's understudy.

Strengthening that terrifying image, the French forward spent the closing minutes of the game playing in Diouf's old position, wide right, where, to be fair to him, he appeared more comfortable.

But if he's Liverpool's main focus of attack, along with Baros, I think I'd be buying myself a set of notebooks with black borders.

Fernando Morientes has already been mentioned - and wouldn't be if there was the slightest sign that Cisse and Baros were about to catch fire.

One striker in blinkers is bad enough, two is nightmare territory.

I can see both being gone in a year's time if Liverpool fail to capitalise on the fluency that's beginning to filter through under the guidance of Benitez.

If I could write with such fluency, you could have blamed me for writing the above article, the only bit I disagree with is the comparison with Diouf, which is not fair to Cisse. I also suspect that Mista is the man in Rafa's sights, not Morientes. But how would I know, and I do not have enough knowledge of either to pass an opinion on their relative ability.
