I hope AC Milan beat Barcelona and progress to the Semi's, not because I'm anti-Barcelona, far from it, I'd just like to see someone else win the Champions League this season.

I wonder what maureen will complain about after this match. They were lucky not to get someone sent off in this match.

I hope bayern wins it this year.

Real Madrid are one dirty team, the tackle from Marcelo on Muller was so uncalled for.

great win for Bayern, I hope they go through now.

Interesting thought, all this talk about 4th place in league could theoretically mean a place in the Europa league, if (and its a big if) Chelsea won the Champions league and finished outside the top 4 in the EPL, then they would take their place in next seasons competition at the expence of 4th spot.
That would really p1ss me off, if we had have got 4th and something like that happened.

Not true.  Didn't they get to play a Champions League Qualifier against Villareal and get beaten?  We had to play 3 qualifiers but got in.

On topic though, I hate Real + Jose.  An absolutely disgraceful disgusting team managed by a vile human being.  Cant believe some Liverpool fans still want him to be manager here one day.

Nope, won't affect the 4th spot in any way.

Actually it does and he has it spot on - if a team wins the CL but haven't achieved CL qualification through their respective league then the CL winners take the slot allocated to the 4th spot. They changed the rule after what happened to us in 05.

No country is allowed more than 4 teams in the CL

I said it at the start of the season Bayern WILL win the champions league. They are a quality side and there back for posses alot of strength. With ribery and robben in there side not many teams know how to defend against them.

I thought that there was a change, but I wasn't sure. But I thought that the change was the other way around; that winning the CL doesn't guarantee you an automatic qualification for next season and that you have to be in the top 4 in order to qualify.

if you win the CL and finish 5th you take the CL spot of 4th placed team and 4th drops to UEFA cup

Hope Barca smash Chelsea
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
