Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

Works his socks off and showed willing all day long. Perhaps his decision making is questionable at times (tries to beat one man too many) but his workload cannot be questioned.

Don't forget that he is just back after a lengthy lay-off through suspension so it will take a few games to get him back to his best!

I honestly don't know why Suarez is played as a striker when he is clearly a forward/attacking cm. I think he would be much better playing "in the hole" as he will be able to get on the ball more and put a greater influence on the game.

Its obvious the Evra sh'it has affected him. Hes not half the player he was.
:(

Its no surprise really is it? Thanks to the United influence, he will be booed at every ground in England he visits. He is carrying a label that wont go away. The press have no interest in anything else about the player except the racism tripe that has been thrust on his character. We as Liverpool supporters know how wrong that is, and we all know how frustrating it is that the only voice that stands by him is entirely ignored as demonstrated by every other club in England that Suarez plays against.

I really don't think he will stay here in England.

He wasn't great at the weekend but then again he wasn't the only one. Understandably since coming back he's so keen to impress that he's almost trying too hard at times.

I'm not worried about him ultimately though. Saturday is a great chance for him to get back on track against lets face it, a poor Arsenal defence.

I think the problem is confidence and after what happened this season with him who can blame him, lets hope in a couple of games and after the win today he gets back to his best

Totally agree Metal, his self belief isn't there. I hope he can recover it, but when he's booed at every ground he goes too, I'm not sure he'll get back to being the player he was, not in England anyway.

i think your looking into it too much, he was great last week against brighton.
he just didnt have his best game today but to be fair the cardiff defenders were throwing themselves around like jamie carragher in istanbul so he wasnt allowed to.
in general though as a side we under performed while cardiff over performed.
saying that he had a hand in our equaliser by hitting the post and he had one cleared off the line so he wasnt anonomous or anything.

He wasn't at his best against Brighton either mate, he found himself in the same situation, losing the ball and not looking to give a pass. He doesn't look like a player in confidence, and again it might have been that whole fiasco

he had a good game against brighton mate, he scored one and had one cleared off the line.
people have unrealistic expectations of players these days, i remember watching us away from home years ago and dalglish playing :censored:, i remember looking at the home fans and thinking `these must wonder what all the hype is about, these must think he`s cr@p` because back then there was no live footy on and kenny was often getting praised in the press.
what happened in that game is what often happened back then, some other player scored, we won 1-0 and the performance was forgotten about.
these days every single performance of a players career is analysed and studied.
the only way you are going to get players playing great week in week out is if you replace them with robots.
no one plays well every week, maradona didnt, cruyff didnt, no one does.

Hes never really had a good game with Carroll alongside him, so its a case of getting the right players to complement his technical style of play.

His best games have tended to be when Maxi has played, plus he links up well with Kuyt.

He played well today but I didn't like him having a go at Kelly. He didn't need to do that.

i like the passion, the want and desire to win, the theory that if you're playin then on the field you can take a ballin out. If that affects the way Kelly plays then he has no place in the team. We need 11 captains on the pitch, 11 men that can give and take criticism along with praise. Kellys done well since he started with the first team, but the occasional bolokin dont do any harm, keeps his feet on the ground.
Tbh an occasional bolokin for Suarez off the others wouldnt go a miss, might help him make a better decision on the final pass/shot thing where he can be wasteful.
This club was all about passion and of late its rare to see - last real time i saw anyone havin a real go was Carra on Arbeloa i think, in what was effectively a nothin game but meant alot to Carra. If you're gonna stand in a red shirt you need to play like its life ot death, if you aint prepared to do so or take flak off your team mates then maybe time to move on.
But Kelly looks like he can take it so no harm done methinx.

Suarez needs to release the ball earlier and bring others into play more ,the sheer amount of times he attempts to slip through
the whole of the oppositions defence without threading a telling pass is starting to frustrate the life out of me .
