In a wierd way the Evra refusal has actually taken the focus off racism. It has changed the issue to hypocrisy, which is a good thing. (Not hypocrisy, but changing the issue. You know what I mean...)

No, why should he?

His crime for me was telling Kenny he was going to shake the other pr!cks hand and then didn't. In that he let Kenny down.

As far as Evra is concerned, I cannot put into words the contempt I have for that pr!ck. I sympathise with Suarez here, how can you shake the hand of a man who got you banned for 8 games, dragged your name through the mud, and has managed to drag your club down through unbelievable depths through the "racist" card that he played. And played at a club that has the FA in their pocket.

Suarez was wrong on one account, he let Kenny down, that is all.

maybe my mistake but thought i heard ian ayre saying something like the club will consult with the pfa over this and the decide a suitable fine/punishment.

i thought the f.a said that they are not taking any action over what happened the weekend.
the f.a themselves want this saga to go away, it`s actually damaging the premier league `brand` abroad we made that much of a pigs breakfast of the whole thing.

your right the F.A said they arent going to punish anyone but will have a word with both clubs over future conduct.
the reference i was making was to the P.F.A and im sure i heard ayre saying that the club will punish luis over this and will consult with the P.F.A on what would be suitable.

i have searched and i cant find anything on it and was wondering if anyone else had heard it?.

sorry mate i misread your original post, you didnt even mention the f.a.

i think luis has been through enough, so what if he didnt shake evra`s hand?
never mind fine him, the club almost owe luis an apology over the way our p.r department have botched his side of the story.

no probs yckabtjywtbiastkamb
i would be disgusted if we further embarrassed luis over this.
if i was him i probably would have punched evra straight on the kisser rather than shake his hand,if not at the start then definately at the end.
all evra was looking for their was a press moment,he wanted luis to pause and be the first to offer the hand and thats why he lowered his.he wanted the drama and luis to look him in the face and apologise so he could show the world what a great man he is by willing to accept the apology of a racist.
id say luis copped this and then changed his mind.
that much was evident when after he moved on and dowd held evra back he then walked forward with his hand in the air to the camera.
he full well knows he tarnished a mans reputation over nothing and plays to the media to keep them on his side before they begin to question him.

i also wonder what action dowd would have taken if rio and evra had successfully managed to clatter him in the first couple of minutes.

yeah mate i agree, evra definately could have made more of an effort himself to shake luis hand and luis probably thinks he`s been stitched right up by evra, but the owners werent in the mood to let this situation drag on any longer and it looks like the right decision, for the first time in ages we are not on the back (or front!) pages.
luis suarez probably feels like he`s gone 15 rounds with rocky marciano at the moment, he probably doesnt know if he`s coming or going, he`s been done up like a kipper by evra and despite the f.a doing him for using an inappropiate remark not for racism, and despite both evra and manchester united clearly stating they dont think suarez is a racist, somehow our incompetant p.r department didnt get that message out and have let him come out of this saga looking like a fully paid up, card carrying member of the klu klux clan.
what a f##king carry on  :veryangry
just talking about it pi$$es me off, the club coming out with a beligerent statement one minute and then grovelling apologies the next......farce is the only way to describe it.
the other clubs must think laurel and hardy or abbott and costello are in charge behind the scene`s here at anfield.

Did you hear that Evra has been pulled from the Ajax game by whisky nose due to it being "an emotional week for him". Can you believe that? The audacity of that awful man knows no bounds when it comes to the rubbish he spouts. He just knows that, with Ajax being Luis's former club, who adore him, would give Evra dog's abuse (no offence Tevez!). Not only that, he has saw another opportunity to stick the knife in and paint Evra as the 'holier than thou' victim. Fuming, I was looking forward to that game as well. Not going to watch it now!

It has to be remembered that IT WAS EVRA who caused a mutiny at the last world cup when he captained France! French legend Lilian Thuram insisted that Evra should have been “banned for life” and French Sports Ministel Chantal Jouanno had this to say -“I have nothing against Evra but, as a France player and especially captain, he did not defend the values of sport which are shared by the Republic. I am sure there exist other talents who have not sullied France and are waiting for the chance to write new history”.  EVRA IS A CLASSIC CHIP ON THE SHOULDER EXCUSE TO HIS SPORT!

Truth will out in the end.....he'll do something else that will expose himself and it will put all this in a different light.

Watching it from afar, I am stunned at the media frenzy of all this and the level of importance/significance placed on a handshake........the UK has come a long way in many areas over the last 40 years, but in my opinion it;s often way too keen to make a show of how perfect and right on it is nowadays. At the end of the day it's 2 footballers (who cares) who didn't shake hands (who cares again really?)

Meanwhile in other news....Whitney houston finely kicked the bucket....let's put a bunch of fake emotion and sympathy into that while we're at it....

Its all over with now and we won't even be playing them again for another couple of months.  Lets forget about it and start discussing important issues again... like football and the final next week :)

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez a target for Carlo Ancelotti's Paris Saint-Germain

Luis Suarez may be offered a way out of Liverpool and English football by a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain, after reports in respected French sports newspaper L'Equipe linked the Qatari-owned Ligue 1 leaders with the Uruguayan.

The French club are keen to add a world class striker to their squad and the recent problems of Suarez at Liverpool have convinced them that the Anfield club would consider selling a prized asset that has turned toxic over recent weeks.

Suarez served an eight-game ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra, then raised tensions again in refusing to shake the Frenchman's hand ahead of Liverpool's defeat to Manchester United last week.

Suarez apologised to his manager, Kenny Dalglish, and the club, but Liverpool's American owners have been embarrassed by the affair and the Uruguayan's future is in doubt.

Signed in January last year from Ajax in a deal worth £22.8m, Suarez has scored 13 times in 36 appearances for Liverpool. Though arguably the club's best player, the controversy surrounding him may convince Liverpool the best thing for all parties would be to recoup their outlay.

Backed by the oil and gas rich Qatari royal family, PSG would have no trouble meeting any asking price and matching or improving Suarez's wages.

Suarez's great friend from the national team, Uruguay captain Lugano, is also already in Paris, something that may help smooth the deal from the player's point of view.

PSG have struggled for goals in the absence through injury of Javier Pastore, whom they hope will help solve their attacking problems when they entertain Ligue 1 title rivals Montpellier, one place and one point behind PSG, on Sunday.

The Argentine, who was signed before the start of the season for a French record €42m fee from Palermo, is expected to play after a three-week layoff.

"We must be more efficient in attack," Ancelotti said, ahead of the top of the table clash.

"What we showed [previously] would not be enough against Montpellier."

Ancelotti believes PSG need to find ways to stretch defences if they are to score more goals.

"We need to use the whole width of the pitch because our opponents can too easily contain our three offensive players," he said.

i cant see us selling suarez, it would look to the fans that alex ferguson was dictating policy at anfield.
ferguson came out and said he was a diver, then he says we should sell him and a few months later we do?
lets sell reina as well and retire gerrard early while we are at it.

Thats the only reason that pr'ck has caused all this trouble. He is sh'it scared of Suarez and wants him out of LFC for making his defence look like the gang of cu'nts they are.
If suarez goes it will be a sad day for Liverpool that purple nose has forced our hand. It cannot be allowed to happen.
(Why oh why didnt Downing call Evra a negro?)

If he was to leave... don't see why he'd go to the French league!
