I'd advise him to go take a look at extensive footage of Uruguay at the 2011 Copa America and see how player of the tournament Suarez operates when he has a class striker (Forlan) alongside him to provide. When he doesn't (which is the case with us) he has to do it alone.. which is the reason he wrongly appears wasteful (to the ignorant). He has no choice with us than to go it alone and try to produce something himself. Put a quality player alongside him to provide and then you see the real Suarez.
you don't need to advise me to watch it as i've already seen it. i've already stated that suarez is one of the most electric players i've ever seen in the red, and i know he has single handedly torn teams apart in the past. however, as a lone striker - the point i was making that you seem to have completely missed - he has not been producing the goods in front of goal. in fact, even when he has had options in the box he has often chosen to try and go it alone - i'm not even sure a strike partner would have been noticed. he doesn't HAVE to go it alone at all, but he so often chooses to.
i'm interested to see how the more direct style we will play with him out and carroll in will pan out. i've no idea why you have chosen to take such an exception to this. well, i do - but in the interests of forum peace i'm not going to say it.
