Lucas' injury has probably hurt Adam more that its helped.  The new responsibilities of covering for the defense has simultaneously hindered his offensive prowess/playmaking and exposed his frail defensive abilities.  I could see him playing Shelvey's (re:Aston Villa) position in future games with Sprearing or Gerrard sitting along side Hendo.

I would rather play Shelvey there .

Wasteful on the ball
Slow
Immobile
Awful in the tackle
Desicion making was appalling

The one thing he was highly touted about was his set piece delivery and that is currently shocking .

He had a very good run of really playing well and i was close to eating humble pie until yesterday and that was against a very poor midfield.

He is very lucky Gerrard and Lucas arent available or he would be sitting on the bench - we need lots more for him and hope sunday was a one off .

You can add a bunch of stupid tackles near the box....

Adam ,even on his good days for us wasn't GOOD ,he was ok for spurts and  then dissolved back to mediocrity. He has yet to complete one whole game where you can describe his performance as good.

I really don't understand his inability to rise up to last year displays ,it's not as if we are the most quickest of teams in the PL ,and yet he struggles so much. I would say he is still fighting to find his place and comfort zone in the team ,similair to Hendo and Downing.

honestly what the bloody hell do some fans want?

the bloke has scored 2 goals and got 7 assists so far this season. suarez aside he's our most productive player.

I agree, the first few games weren't so bright but he had a few good games in a row. He wasn't very good yesterday but overall he's been just fine. Though I think we would have been better of with Meireles.

Fans want more - he is playing in the engine room , everything goes through him and he has to better - we lost against Spurs 4 nil because he got himself sent off and he could of easily done yesterday as well - he was extremely wasteful - against a stronger CM then yesterday could of been a different result .

He needs to step up now he has no protection from Lucas .

His set pieces are poor at the moment.
But he gives everything and is passionate about LFC. Yes he does make mistakes, but Im far more concerned about Downing than Adam.

Downing offered a lot more than he did yesterday but we need both to improve

Alas Mediocrity has settled in i see....First of all our "production" is pi$$ poor so let's not get carried away with the 2nd most productive statement ,Secondly i measure him by his impact through out the whole game and not just by certain moments which you for somereason do ,and on avarage ,he is pretty avarage.

I wanted him signed and i still root for the guy but he is pretty sloppy and wasteful thus far.

BTW our 2nd most productive player would be Bellamy

Whats this Benny the noon criticizing a Liverpool player? i thought true fans get behind the players and give them at least 3 years of first team football before you can pass judgement

He wasnt outstanding at Blackpool - Vaughan and Campbell were the two stand out players for them.

Adam stole the headlines because he scored a few penalties and free kicks.
